Later that evening, as the family was settling in for a quiet night in the living room, there was a knock on the door.
Mannon furrowed her brow. "Who could that be?"
Hyunjin stood up to answer the door, and when he opened it, he was met with a familiar face.
"Mr. Choi?" Hyunjin said, surprised to see the family’s old lawyer standing on their doorstep.
"Good evening, Hwang family," Mr. Choi said, adjusting his glasses. "I hope I’m not interrupting."
Mannon stood up from the couch, looking over at Hyunjin with a raised eyebrow. "What’s going on?"
"We need to talk," Mr. Choi said, stepping inside. "It’s about the family’s estate."
Mannon’s eyes widened. She hadn’t expected any sort of official business tonight. "Is everything okay?" she asked, trying to suppress the nervous flutter in her stomach.
"Everything’s fine, but there’s something you need to know," Mr. Choi began, sitting down at the table. "There’s been an issue with some paperwork regarding the inheritance—"
Hyunjin’s face grew serious. "Is something wrong?"
"Not exactly," Mr. Choi replied. "But you’ll need to sign some documents to avoid any complications in the future."
Mannon exchanged a glance with Hyunjin, her mind racing. "We’ll take care of it," she said, though the situation felt much more serious than a simple paperwork issue.

As the night went on, Mannon couldn’t help but feel uneasy. She had everything she could ever want—her family, her career, her love life—but she knew that behind every perfect moment, there were still challenges to overcome.
And she would face them, just as she always had—with Hyunjin by her side.
Her family. Her love. Her everything.
