Manon had grown accustomed to Hyunjin’s grand gestures, but their fifth wedding anniversary completely surpassed anything she could have imagined.
“Hyunjin, where are we going?” she asked, blindfolded as he carefully guided her through what felt like soft grass.
“Patience, my love,” he whispered in her ear, his voice sending a familiar shiver down her spine.
When he finally removed the blindfold, Manon gasped. Before her was the garden of their mansion, transformed into a breathtaking wonderland. Twinkling fairy lights hung from the trees, and a beautifully set table for two was surrounded by blooming flowers.
“Hyunjin…” she whispered, tears welling up in her icy blue eyes.
He took her hands, pulling her close. “I wanted to recreate the night we fell in love—under the stars, just us.”
As they dined, a quartet appeared, playing soft romantic tunes, but the highlight of the evening came when Hyunjin stood and offered his hand.
“Dance with me?” he asked, his dark eyes shimmering with love.
Manon stood, letting him pull her into his arms. As they swayed under the stars, she rested her head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat.
“You never stop surprising me,” she murmured.
Hyunjin kissed her forehead. “And I never will.”
