Sky Chandler, a powerful CEO, first captured Jules Parker's heart in high school with kindness and charisma. Jules idolizes Sky, but when their paths cross again years later in the unforgiving corporate world, the hero of Jules' past becomes a guard...
Ava briskly steps into the elegantly designed cabin, her voice carrying a note of urgency. "Sir Sky and Miss Mia, a very important guest is here to meet you," she announces.
Mia looks up from her desk, curiosity etched on her face. "Who is it?" she asks.
Ava gestures toward the door, her voice steady yet respectful. "This way, sir," she says, guiding the visitor inside.
Mia's expression shifts to one of shock as the familiar figure of Charles steps into view. Her breath catches in her throat as he strides confidently into the room.
"Finally, we meet, Sir Sky," Charles says with a charismatic smile, extending his hand for a handshake.
Sky hesitates, his gaze darting between Charles and Mia, clearly perplexed by her reaction. With a flicker of reluctance, he takes Charles' hand and offers a polite, albeit uncertain, shake.
The three settle into the cabin, the air thick with unspoken tension. Aunt Harper enters discreetly and places a glass of water before Charles, the quiet clink of glass amplifying the suspenseful music playing faintly in the background.
Charles's sharp eyes catch the bracelet on Sky's wrist- an unmistakable replica of Jules'. A faint smile plays on his lips, though he says nothing.
Outside, employees gather, buzzing with anticipation. All eyes are on the cabin door, and whispers of speculation ripple through the group. The tension reaches a peak as Aunt Harper finally emerges.
"Well?" one employee asks eagerly.
Harper adjusts her glasses, her tone laced with dry humor. "They're at a staring competition, I believe," she says, walking away nonchalantly.
Inside the cabin, Sky breaks the silence, his tone formal. "You should have made an appointment earlier," he begins. "This sudden visit has left us unprepared."
Charles waves off the remark with a chuckle. "There's no need to be so formal. I prefer a casual environment," he replies smoothly.
Sky leans forward, his demeanor growing serious. "Then let's cut to the chase. What is it that you want to discuss?"
Charles tilts his head slightly, his eyes gleaming with calculated intent. "Oh, hasn't Mia told you yet?" he asks, shifting his gaze to her.
Mia freezes, her voice trembling. "I... I planned to tell Sky during dinner tonight."
Charles laughs softly. "Oops, my bad. I thought you'd already informed him. I didn't mean to ruin the surprise."
Sky's brow furrows as he looks at Mia. "Tell me about what?" he presses.
Charles takes the opportunity to reveal his intention. "I'm interested in a joint venture with you, Sir Sky."

Sky abruptly stands, his arms crossed. "Wait. What is this about?" he demands, his tone sharp.
Mia rushes to explain, her words tumbling over one another. "Sky, listen. I want the company to grow and stabilize, so I invited Mr. Charles to discuss a joint venture with us."
