Sky Chandler, a powerful CEO, first captured Jules Parker's heart in high school with kindness and charisma. Jules idolizes Sky, but when their paths cross again years later in the unforgiving corporate world, the hero of Jules' past becomes a guard...
The day held an air of unease, with emotions running high and unanswered questions lingering in the atmosphere. Jules paced the room, her face etched with worry. "I've been trying to reach Miss Mia," she murmured, her voice tinged with concern. "She didn't come to work yesterday, and I haven't heard from her since. I'm so worried about her."
Sky, crouched by his desk, rummaged through scattered items, oblivious to the drama unfolding around him. His actions, though desperate, seemed oddly detached. "She didn't pick up my calls or reply to my texts," he remarked absently, still engrossed in his search.
"Don't worry," Sky added, standing and approaching Jules in an attempt to console her. "She'll understand eventually."
Jules cast him a questioning glance, her worry deepening. Sky gently patted her shoulder and added, "I told her from the beginning that I don't love her. But... I feel relieved that I did this for you."
"Thank you for doing this for me," Jules said softly, a faint smile breaking through her anxious expression.
Sky nodded and returned to his task, his determination evident. Jules, now curious, asked, "What are you looking for so intently?"

"My bracelet," Sky replied with a note of disappointment. "I don't know where I lost it. We have to wear them together."
Jules held up her wrist, showing her bracelet. "This one?" she asked teasingly.
"Yeah. I must find mine," Sky insisted, his tone resolute.
"I'll help you look for it," Jules offered.
Sky paused, his brow furrowing as he retraced his steps. Suddenly, his expression lit up. "Ah! I remember now I must've dropped it when I fought with Mia." Without another word, he strode upstairs, Jules following close behind.
Sky searched every corner, looking beneath curtains, under tables, and behind furniture. His quest led him to a nearby room. As he opened the door, he froze. Inside, Ryan and Ava were caught in an intimate moment, their faces paling at the sight of Sky.
The tension was palpable, but Sky, unperturbed, bent down to retrieve his bracelet from the floor. Without a word or reaction, he left. Five seconds later, he reappeared, his face stoic. "Excuse me," he said curtly, before shutting the door again.
A few moments later, Ava stormed into Jules's workspace, her face a picture of distress. "Mon!" she cried, her voice cracking.
"Ava, what's wrong?" Jules asked, startled.
"I think I'm going to be fired," Ava confessed, tears streaming down her face.
"What?!" Jules exclaimed loudly. Ava quickly shushed her.
"How can you say that?" Jules asked, her voice hushed.
"Boss found out about my... relationship with Ryan," Ava admitted, her cheeks burning with embarrassment.
"But... Ryan has a wife," Jules said, her eyes widening in shock.
"You can't control who you fall in love with," Ava replied miserably. "We were meeting in the storage room, but Boss walked in on us. He didn't say anything he just stared at us, picked up his bracelet, and left."
Jules stifled a laugh, but her concern for Ava was evident. "Calm down," she said. "Should I tell Boss you were discussing work with Ryan?"
"What work?" Ava retorted, demonstrating Ryan's awkward position when Sky walked in. Jules couldn't help but chuckle at the reenactment. "I'm doomed for sure! What should I do?" Ava wailed.
In Sky's office, the atmosphere was tense. Jules stood by the window, deep in thought, while Sky paced furiously. "So... will you fire Ryan and Ava?" Jules asked cautiously.
"I'm still deciding," Sky replied, his tone conflicted. "Ryan is married, and what Ava did was... wrong."
"But you make the rules," Jules said hesitantly. "If you're considering firing them, maybe I should quit too. I broke the rules first."
Sky stopped in his tracks, his expression softening. "No. I can't let you leave. If you're not here, I won't even have the energy to drive to work."
Jules blinked, surprised by his vulnerability.
"Do you realize," Sky continued, his voice calm now, "that I come here just to see your face?"
"But I've been staying at your place lately," Jules pointed out.
"It's not the same," Sky said, shaking his head. He resumed pacing, muttering to himself, "What should I do? What should I do?"
Finally, he stopped and declared, "I'll rewrite the rules. I made them, so I can change them."
"You can't do that," Jules said firmly. "I don't want people to badmouth you because of me. I'll find another job."
"You're so not cute," Sky said, staring at her.
"I'm fine with that," Jules replied, smiling. "But I love you, Sky."
Sky looked away, his cheeks tinged with color. "Um..."
"Do you love me?" Jules pressed.
"Um..." he repeated.
"Say it!"
"I love you a lot," he finally admitted, his expression deadpan.

Jules laughed and leaned in, gently pressing her fingers to his nose. "My honorable lover," she grasped Sky by his tie, pulling him close until their breaths mingled, and planted a soft kiss on his lips.
