Sky Chandler, a powerful CEO, first captured Jules Parker's heart in high school with kindness and charisma. Jules idolizes Sky, but when their paths cross again years later in the unforgiving corporate world, the hero of Jules' past becomes a guard...
Collision creates as much as it destroys. It's all about the timing and the angle it strikes. For Sky and Jules, their collision had once carved out a new path, illuminating their lives with possibilities. But when family collides with love, the outcomes are far more unpredictable and often devastating.
Sky walked into the office, his steps brisk but his mind elsewhere. Yet the moment he entered, an unfamiliar tension seemed to linger in the air, palpable and stifling. Employees moved about, heads down, their faces strained. It was chaos cloaked in silence.
"What's going on?" Sky asked, his voice calm but tinged with concern. His eyes landed on Mia, who stood stiffly by the corner.
Mia didn't reply.
"I'm talking to you. What's going on here?" Sky demanded, this time his tone sharper, his gaze hardening.
Before Mia could respond, Ryan approached, his face pale and his shoulders sagging under invisible weight. "Miss Mia fired Ava and me," Ryan said, his voice cracking with disbelief. "We don't know why. Please, Boss Sky, could you talk to her? Please don't let this happen."
Ava, standing a few steps behind, clasped her hands together in desperation. "Please, Boss Sky," she pleaded, her voice barely above a whisper. "I need this job. I..I don't understand what we did wrong."
Sky's jaw tightened as he turned toward Mia, his voice rising like thunder. "Why did you fire my employees without consulting me? What right do you have to make that decision? This is my company, Mia. Speak!"
The echo of his voice filled the meeting hall, and all eyes turned toward the confrontation. Mia, usually composed, looked shaken for the briefest of moments before her expression hardened.
"Office romance is against the rules, Sky. Rules you created. I was doing my job, enforcing them. If you were in my place, you'd have done the same," she fired back, her voice cutting through the tension like a blade.
Sky stared at her, stunned by her response. His chest heaved with a mix of fury and disbelief. Without another word, he stormed into his cabin, slamming the door behind him.
But Mia followed, her heels clicking against the tiled floor like an approaching storm. "I saw them," she began, her voice firm but tinged with hesitation. "They were making out in the parking lot. I was going to ignore it, but I couldn't, Sky. I couldn't betray you like that. So, I fired them."
Sky turned sharply to face her, his eyes blazing. "I see. So this isn't about the company. This is about you trying to put pressure on me and Mon, isn't it?"

Mia's face twisted in frustration. "I'm doing this for the company. Rules are rules, Sky. You of all people should understand that."
"You're right," he replied, his voice dangerously low. "Rules are rules. So, I'll fire Mon." Mia froze, her breath hitching. "Are you serious?"
"Yes," Sky shot back, his voice rising. "If she leaves, I can love her freely without breaking your precious rules. Thanks for reminding me of the boundaries, Mia!"
He turned to leave, but Mia grabbed his arm. "You know things between you and Mon aren't that simple, Sky. Stop trying to bulldoze your way through this!"
He pulled his arm free, his glare like ice. "Don't tell me what to do." Mia stood rooted to the spot, her hands trembling as he walked away.
The day dissolved into confusion and despair. When night fell, Sky returned home, his heart weighed down by the turmoil. The house was eerily quiet, dark and lifeless.
"Why hasn't she turned the lights on?" he wondered, clapping to activate the smart lighting. His voice echoed in the empty space. "Mon, I'm back!"
No reply.
A sinking feeling twisted his gut as he rushed upstairs, calling her name. "Mon! Where are you?"
At Jules' place, the atmosphere was no less strained.
"Lady Arina should've disappeared along with the dinosaurs, don't you think?" Noah said, trying to lighten the mood. His voice carried a sharp edge of disdain. "Dehumanizing and oppressing others like she does. it's a relic of the past. Who's really the lowlife here?"
Jules sat on the couch, her arms wrapped around herself. Her silence was heavy, filled with unspoken turmoil.
"Mon," Noah said gently, crouching beside her, "don't let her words get to you. You're stronger than this." The phone buzzed relentlessly on the table, its vibrations a constant reminder of the turmoil outside this sanctuary.
"If you keep ignoring his calls, he'll only worry more," Noah said, his voice laced with genuine concern. He watched Jules closely, noticing how her shoulders tensed with every word. "You should tell him what happened. He's not the one who's in the wrong here."
Jules remained silent, her gaze fixed on the pavement as though the cracks in the ground held the answers she couldn't find. She hugged her arms tightly around herself, her inner turmoil evident.
"Noah..." she finally murmured, her voice barely audible. "I want to go inside."
Noah's expression softened. "Right. It's getting late. Go ahead," he replied gently, stepping aside to let her pass.
She hesitated for a moment, glancing back at him as if seeking reassurance, before slowly turning toward the house. Just as they were about to part ways, a voice cut through the quiet night, sharp and biting, halting them both in their tracks.
