Destiny has an uncanny way of weaving hearts together, even from the farthest corners of the world. Just like Sky and Jules, two souls seemingly destined to collide, now find themselves seated in a car under the twilight sky. As Sky grips the steering wheel, a playful tension fills the air.
"Erm, Boss, until what time will we be working on this?" Jules asks, a hint of uncertainty lacing her voice.
"Don't know, maybe until morning," Sky replies casually, glancing at her with an expression that makes her heart race.
"That means I'll have to stay over at your place?" she worries, biting her lip. "Why, afraid?" Sky shoots back, teasing her.
"That's not it!" Jules retorts defensively, "I haven't stayed over at anyone's place before. I'm just afraid my mum and dad will be worried about me."
"Call your parents then. Do it now," he orders, his tone leaving little room for debate. "Huh?" Jules is taken aback.
"Use the speaker mode as well," he continues, a smirk playing on his lips. "Um, sure," she replies, unsure of what this will lead to.
Meanwhile, at home, Noah is busy helping Jules' parents fix a clog issue in the kitchen. When Jules' dad picks up the phone, concern drips from his voice. "Oh hi, my dear, where are you now? Do you want me to pick you up near the side street?"
"Erm, hello Dad—" Jules begins, but before she can finish, Sky interjects, "Hello, my name is Sky Chandler. I'm Mon's boss."
"Um... yes, sir Sky," her dad stammers, shock evident as he glances at Jules, who stands frozen, her face burning with embarrassment.
"You can speak to me normally; my title is nothing much," Sky reassures him, his voice steady. "I'm just calling to ask for your permission for Mon."
"Yes, you have my permission, sir," her dad replies instantly, clearly flustered. Jules' mom catches on, her eyebrows raised in surprise, mouthing, "What permission?"
"Dad, you still haven't heard what the permission is about," Jules chimes in, mortified.
"If it concerns Sir Sky, you will always have our permission," her dad quips, trying to redeem himself.
"Dad..." Jules tries to signal him to stop.
"You see, we have urgent work, so I need Mon to help me out. I might need her to stay over at my place," Sky explains.
But before he can finish, her dad chimes in again, "It's your place, so there is nothing to be worried about. Mon must be glad for sure!"
"Dad, I have to go now. Bye!" Jules interrupts, desperate to cut off the conversation before it spirals further into embarrassment.
"Please don't hang up yet," Sky says, grabbing the phone from her hand. "Why would Mon be glad?"
"Oh, it's because she admires you a lot, sir Sky. She knows everything about you; she likes you a lot, and she's a huge fan of yours! If you don't believe me, you can come over to our house and look for yourself, sir Sky," her dad spills, egged on by Jules' mom.
"Dad!" Jules exclaims, mortified.
Her mom takes the call next, but Jules quickly snatches the phone back and hangs up, feeling the heat rise to her cheeks.
"That wasn't nice, snatching the phone from your boss," Sky remarks, his voice stern yet playful.
"My fan, huh? Your cheeks are turning red; that means you must be following me to places, right? Answer me, my fan," he mocks, his smirk growing wider.
Jules tries to hide her flustered emotions, but a smile betrays her. Sky notices and can't help but chuckle, while Jules attempts to maintain her composure.
