We then take all three of the time-travelers and the cat, heading back to the cargo hold of the Time-Traveling Agency.
"We are ready Manevola," calls Axel and we are transported back to the ship. The Vampire Queen dropped us off back on the cruise saying, "I will go back to the ship. I got to talk to a friend about the Space Queen's whereabouts."
The second we get on the ship, our three guests de-thaw and the cat makes its escape from Sherri's hands and jumps onto Antonio's head who screams.
Jackie yells at the cat to shoo while Sherri says, "No Roo."
Noticing Antonio, Jackie runs over to him and says, "No! Where have you been the entire time? I was so worried!"
While Jackie buries her face in Antonio's chest, he is kissing her. The two of them are too happy to care about the rest of everyone around them.
I hear the restless tapping on an iPad keyboard and turn around to see Luna taking notes on Leo, who is burying his face in his arms.
"CAN I HAVE A RUM COKE PLEASE?" asks Leo.
"Don't you think that's one too many drinks?" I ask, patting his shoulder. Instead, he just swats me away.
"No," says Leo. "It's not enough. Where is Jasper? Who is this rando?"
"You look so much like your father," says a voice.
Jodie suddenly clutches Luna to her chest, then Luna looks up to see her father David who is standing over the two of them, clutching Baby Lux.
"I am so happy to see you two!" says Luna, hugging her family.
I turn back to see Leo; he's knee deep in a rum-coke. How Jasper delivered his drink so quickly is beyond me. I stare at him from behind the pool-bar counter, and he gives them a "Don't ask, don't tell" look.
The two other girls make their way over to Leo, one with darker hair who says "Interesting, he's not as impressive as I made him out to be."
"However," says Sherri, the lighter-haired one, "He's the best medicine in the universe. Look at those abs."
Damn it, I feel kind of bad for the poor guy. Jasper is before me now, looking down at me, shrugging about Leo's situation and saying, "You kind of have to look at it this way - if he returned the feelings that Naomi has, he wouldn't be in this situation."
Luna is back now, and she's typing madly along with Mia and Sherri, as if the three of them were doing notes for a college seminar.
Then there is a squeal as a random blonde girl in jock shorts is running over the pool-deck, followed by her black-haired, goth-dressed friend.
"Oh my god! It's really him! I can't believe I am seeing him in the flesh!" says Lily, a random jock human girl.
Selene, the friend, is nodding, saying, "Yeah, he's totally my type."
It takes Jasper and I a minute to realize that the guy they are talking about is Leo himself. Leo is slumped over in his chair, hardly noticing.
"I have so many drawings of him that I was doing for that book of hers."
Then Selene turns to look at Jasper, gawking.
"Lily!" says Selene, poking Lily in the shoulder. "That's the guy that Naomi would talk about writing about. The one that runs the bar in hell. He looks just like the guy from that story."
Now Jasper is knee-deep, chugging down a shot of vodka and putting up a sign on his pool-bar saying "Bar is closed" causing everyone to groan.
Luna keeps typing away, and I find myself swiping someone else's untouched frozen margarita that belongs to the Guardian Spinela. I don't even care at this point that she is mad - she can manifest herself a new one.
