Taehyung

I walked into the bedroom, my eyes scanning the space until they landed on Millie. She was standing by the dresser, her hair tied up in a messy bun as she applied a final coat of lip gloss.

The morning light poured in through the windows, highlighting the delicate curves of her face. I couldn't stop myself from watching her, caught in the small, mundane moment.

As I glanced at the bed, something caught my attention-a small, shimmering necklace with a tiny diamond pendant. It was the one she always wore on special occasions. Picking it up, I held it between my fingers and spoke.

"looking for this," I said, holding the necklace just high enough to taunt her.

Her head snapped toward me, and her brows furrowed. "Give that back to me!" she demanded, annoyance flashing in her eyes as she stepped closer.

"Oh, I don't think so," I teased, keeping the necklace just out of her reach.

Her frustration grew as she lunged forward, trying to snatch it from my hand. She was persistent, practically jumping to grab it. "Stop playing, Taehyung! Please, give that back!" she pleaded, her voice sharp yet tinged with exasperation.

In our chaotic tug-of-war, we both lost balance and tumbled onto the bed. She landed beneath me, her hair spilling across the pillow like a golden halo. I found myself above her, our bodies pressed together as we froze in place.

Our eyes locked. The tension between us was palpable, heavy with unspoken words and unacknowledged emotions. The moment stretched, thick with something neither of us wanted to name. My gaze fell to her lips, but before the thought could solidify, we were interrupted.

"I-I'm so sorry, sir... ma'am..." The maid's voice trembled from the doorway, her face flushed with embarrassment.

Millie scrambled out from beneath me, her face burning as she hastily smoothed her clothes. I rolled off her and sat on the edge of the bed, my movements slow and deliberate. Turning to the maid, I fixed her with a cold stare.

"Next time, knock before entering," I said flatly. "Do you understand?"

The maid nodded quickly, her head bobbing in apology before she disappeared from the room.

"This is all your fault!" Millie hissed, glaring at me as she grabbed the necklace from my hand.

"You're the one who jumped me, darling," I replied, the corners of my mouth twitching into a smirk. "Don't blame me for the maid walking in."

"I did not jump you! You were the one holding my necklace hostage!" she snapped, her cheeks still flushed.

"Fine. Take it," I said, finally letting her snatch it from my grasp. "But next time, just ask me for it. No need to get physical."

"There won't be a next time," she bit out before storming into the bathroom, slamming the door behind her.

I sat there, alone with my thoughts. Images of her angry face and the way her hair framed her features lingered in my mind, unbidden. I felt a pang of something-attraction, perhaps-and I hated myself for it.

"She means nothing to me," I muttered under my breath, clenching my fists. "I won't let myself be drawn to her. This is all about revenge."

I repeated the words over and over, hoping they'd erase the memory of her from my mind. But deep down, I wasn't sure I believed them anymore.

After wrapping up an important call outside, I returned to the bedroom, only to be greeted by a sight that momentarily took my breath away. Millie stood in front of the dresser, her back to me, fumbling to fasten a delicate silver pendant around her neck. The soft evening light streaming through the window illuminated her, casting a warm glow over the elegant curve of her shoulders and the nape of her neck.
