Millie
I woke before dawn, my chest heavy with anger and curiosity. The suffocating atmosphere of the house was unbearable, but the secrets that lingered within its walls were even worse. I needed answers. I needed to know why my family had hidden so much from me.
As I reached for the door handle, Taehyung’s voice stopped me cold. “Where do you think you’re going?” he growled, his voice low and dangerous.
I turned around sharply, defiance burning in my eyes. “I don’t need your permission to leave.”
“You’re not going anywhere without my say-so,” he replied, stepping closer. I tried to push past him, but he grabbed my wrists, his grip like steel.
“You can’t keep me prisoner!” I shouted, struggling to free myself.
Before I could react, he shoved me back, forcing me onto the bed. His movements were swift and decisive. I gasped as he snapped handcuffs around my wrists, the cold metal biting into my skin.
“Are you out of your mind?” I shrieked, pulling at the restraints. His face was inches from mine, his voice a venomous hiss. “You’re not leaving me, Millie.”
Fury surged through me, and I bucked against him. “You’re caging me? I won’t be held captive!” His lips curled into a twisted smile. “You’ll learn to obey.”
“Never,” I spat. He stood, his shadow looming over me. “I said leave me!” I screamed, my voice hoarse from the effort.
His expression darkened, but he stepped back and disappeared into the shadows. The room felt heavier in his absence, the silence oppressive. I collapsed onto the bed, my chest heaving.
What was he doing? Why was he doing this?
Questions swirled in my mind, but I had no answers. I had to find a way to escape. Determination ignited within me as I reached for my phone, but just as my fingers grazed the screen, he materialized out of nowhere, snatching it away.
“You think you can tell everyone about me that easily?” he sneered, holding my phone out of reach. “Please, Taehyung,” I pleaded, desperation lacing my voice.
His eyes narrowed, his tone chilling. “You try to contact anyone, and I’ll hurt Jungkook. I won’t think twice about it.”
My heart stopped. “You wouldn’t.”
“I have nothing to lose. You’re mine now, Millie.” Tears blurred my vision as I whispered, “Please, don’t hurt him. What’s his fault in all this?”
His laugh was cold and hollow. “His fault? Yesterday, you saw the truth for yourself. Don’t act like you didn’t know.”
“I don’t owe you any explanations,” I snapped. “But if you hurt him, I swear, Taehyung, I’ll kill you!”
His expression darkened as he leaned in close, his breath hot against my skin. “Your silence is your brother’s shield. Remember that.”
His hand reached for my face, brushing away a tear. “You’re beautiful when you cry,” he murmured, his fingers lingering on my cheek.
