As I walked away, an odd sensation crept up my spine—a feeling of being watched. My instincts urged me to glance over my shoulder, and when I did, my eyes locked with Yoon-ah’s. Her curious smirk made me uneasy, and her gaze shifted toward Taehyung.

His expression remained unreadable, his dark eyes narrowing slightly as they met Yoon-ah’s. She didn’t look away. Instead, her lips curled into a sly smile, and my stomach churned.

“You didn’t tell me you already had a girlfriend,” Yoon-ah said, her voice smooth but laced with something I couldn’t place.

I felt an unexpected surge of irritation at her words, and before I could think better of it, my legs carried me back to where they stood. I placed myself squarely in front of Taehyung, my gaze unwavering as it fixed on Yoon-ah.

“I’m not his girlfriend,” I said firmly. “I’m his wife. And just so you know, I don’t take kindly to other women getting close to him.”

Her widened eyes betrayed her surprise, though she quickly masked it with a faint smile. For a moment, her gaze darted toward Taehyung, but his serious demeanor gave nothing away.

“Well,” she said, feigning nonchalance, “congratulations on your marriage.”

Her tone dripped with insincerity, and I clenched my fists to keep my temper in check. Yoon-ah turned to leave, but not before throwing a parting comment over her shoulder.

“I’ll come again to visit, Taehyung. Take care.”

Relief washed over me as her figure disappeared through the doorway. Yoon-ah was clingy, overly familiar, and utterly exhausting. But even her absence couldn’t soothe the storm brewing inside me. Without another word, I headed toward the bedroom, desperate for a moment of peace.

I stepped into the room and reached for the bathroom door, intending to wash off the tension clinging to me. But before I could enter, a strong hand grabbed my wrist, halting me in my tracks.

“Where do you think you’re going?”

I turned, startled, to find Taehyung standing behind me. His eyes were intense, piercing, and filled with a determination that sent my heart racing.

“What do you want now?” I snapped, trying to pull free from his grip.

He didn’t let go. Instead, he pulled me closer. “I want to talk about what just happened,” he said. “I want to talk about Yoon-ah.”

My temper flared. “What about her?”

“You were jealous.” His lips curved into a smirk, and the glint in his eyes both infuriated and flustered me.

“Are you out of your mind?” I retorted, flailing my arm to break free. “Why on earth would I be jealous?”

“Don’t lie to me, darling,” he said smoothly. “I saw the way you looked at her. And at me.”

Heat rushed to my face, but I refused to let him see me falter. “You’re delusional,” I spat.

His smirk deepened as he leaned closer, his voice dropping to a teasing murmur. “You’re cute when you’re jealous.”

Cute? Had I heard him right? My mind raced, my indignation momentarily eclipsed by his unexpected comment.

“I wasn’t jealous,” I insisted, crossing my arms. “And I don’t even know her.”

“Let me fill you in,” he said, his tone sobering. “She’s my ex-fiancée.”

Shock coursed through me. “Ex-fiancée?”

“We were engaged,” he explained, his expression unreadable. “It was an arrangement between our families, but I called it off before the wedding. She was only after my money.”

I opened my mouth to respond, but his proximity left me flustered. “I didn’t ask for your life story,” I muttered, trying to mask my discomfort.

“You didn’t have to.” His gaze held mine, firm and unyielding. “You’re my wife. You should know everything about me, even my past.”

I swallowed hard, unsure how to react. His words carried a weight I wasn’t prepared for, and for a moment, I felt as though I were drowning under the intensity of his gaze.

But before I could say anything, he stepped back, his presence leaving a void in the air. He turned and walked away, leaving me alone to grapple with the whirlwind of emotions he’d stirred within me. Why he do such things??

The next morning, I awoke feeling restless. Today was Jungkook’s birthday—a day I always made special for him. But the thought of convincing Taehyung to attend left me anxious. He hated Jungkook with every fiber of his being, and I knew it wouldn’t be an easy battle.

As I finished getting ready, the door to my room burst open. Taehyung stood in the doorway, his expression dark and stormy.

“Who told you to involve me in this?” he demanded, striding toward me.

I froze, unsure of what he meant. “What are you talking about?”

“Your mother called,” he said, his voice rising. “She told me we’re expected at Jungkook’s birthday party.”

My heart sank. I had hoped to ease him into the idea, but now it was too late.

“I won’t go,” he said firmly. “Not after what he did.”

I bristled at his accusation. “Jungkook didn’t do anything!”

“Don’t lie to me,” he shot back. “He’s the reason Ava is in a coma!”

My jaw tightened, and I stepped closer to him, anger bubbling to the surface. “You’re wrong. It was an accident, and Jungkook would never hurt her—or anyone.”

“You’re just defending him because he’s your brother,” Taehyung snarled. “But I know what he’s capable of.”

“You don’t know anything,” I fired back. “You’re just looking for someone to blame because you can’t handle your own guilt!”

His eyes darkened, and for a moment, I thought he might lash out. But instead, he leaned in, his voice low and threatening.

“You don’t get it, do you? I won’t let you leave. I won’t let anyone take you from me. Not even you. Until I got what I want! ”

His words sent a shiver down my spine. I stared at him, my heart pounding in my chest. As he turned and left the room, I sank to my knees, tears streaming down my face.

Why had I fallen in love with him? How could I love someone so selfish, so controlling?

Yet despite it all, my heart ached for him. And that was the cruelest truth of all.

Are you all loving this new type of book of mine, I hope so you would, because this is my first time writing like a obsessive, filled with hate, red flag character.
