Time had passed as the trees slowly started to bloom Sakura petals. Before people knew it was time for the 2007 TO-OH University Entrance ceremony. The moment Y/N had learned she passed her exams with full marks she knew she had made it. She would no longer have to worry about the potential future of living in the streets or worrying about her next meal ever again. Of course the moment she started her semester she would put in just as much effort, but today, today was just for her.
Putting on her best piece of clothing, she picked out a black pinstriped, double-breasted suit with a simple white button up. Tying her shoes she exists her door and makes her way to the Entrance ceremony.
Ryuk had informed her a couple hours previous, that he would meet her at the entrance exam to keep up appearances with Light. She huffed a little at that but nonetheless she remained excited that Ryuk would be there regardless.
Entering the doors to the ceremony hall was a new experience she couldn't believe she had the privilege of having. It was odd being near her new peers and starting a new life. It was also exhilarating as well, she could already see herself learning more and becoming the person she had always dreamed of being.

A while after finding her seat and watching fellow board members make their speeches. An older looking man with circular glasses began to talk.
"And now for Freshman Address. Our first-year representative, Light Yagami." Looking over she watched as Light stood up from his chair. His aura was surrounded by proud colors and the way he walked showed he had a reason to be there. Ryuk flew beside him like a shadow. All she wanted to do was to tell Ryuk how happy she was to share the moment with him, but sadly he was nonexistent to everyone except herself and Light.
The older man caught her attention again as he gently coughed in his hand. "Our Second first-year representative Ryuga Hideki" In comparison, Ryuga shared no similarities to Light. Ryuga's aura held the color of collectiveness and vigilance. Y/N was at first puzzled and stunned that the man she had met twice had gotten full marks. Light was reasonable to an extent, so it was weird to have such an unforeseen variable come to fruition. But thinking to herself she supposed it wasn't to odd that such an eccentric man like himself not too.
"Our third first-year representative Y/N Tenshi." She stood up with a calm but firm face. Her styled hair/head covering framed her face to perfection. Her shoes clacked against the polished floors as she walked up the stage with the two men. She glanced sneakily towards the Shinigami smiling in delight. He let out a small kackle, she looked away amused.
On the other hand keeping her posture sturdy and well presented was no easy task when Ryuga was glaring holes into Light Yagami. Watching Ryuga do so almost made her want to laugh. Just what did Light do for Ryuga to look at him with such a dead-faced stare? It wasn't like he knew Light was Kira, hahaha.
Walking up to the front of the stage, the three lined up behind the desk as they were presented a speech they all had to read.
'God do I really have to listen to this speech three times?' Y/N waited as both Light and Ryuga finished their speech. Looking over to the both of them she really couldn't help but think,
'They really are different' Looking at Ryuga as he slowly finished the speech. She bowed her head in thanks as she grabbed the paper from his hands and began to read the same speech again. After finishing her speech she bowed once again Light taking her example while Ryuga scratched his head, seemingly bored.
Walking back to their new seats centered in the front row, Ryuga began to talk.
"Yagami. You're the son of Soichiro Yagami, detective superintendent of the NPA (National Police Agency)" Perking up Y/N looked at Light and Ryuga in interest. Ryuk also seemed interested as well as he peered over Lights' entire body.
"You have a keen sense of justice that rivals the respect for your father. And Y/N you seemed to have found a liking towards political justice, your interest in the people intrigues me."
'Just who the hell is he?' she clenched her jaw as she continued to walk forward. How did he know these things about her? Clearly, he was some type of stalker with a motive, but for what, was what kept her nervous.
Getting closer to their seats, Ryuga continued again after they all sat down. "Light you plan to join the NPD after you graduate, and you've helped with other cases in the past...You now show interest in the Kira case." Y/N could help but lean closer to hear what he had to say. She was beyond curious about what he had to say. Perhaps it would help her own study of the Kira case she had in her apartment.
"Y/N, while I'm still unsure of what you plan to do in the future, whether it's law or something else. One thing is clear and that's the interest towards the Kira case" Making eye contact with Ryuga she saw everything he tried to convey, Ryuga glanced back towards Light.
"If you both promise not to tell anyone about this, I can tell you very important information regarding the Kira case." There was a moment of silence before Light spoke up.
"I wont tell anyone. What is it?" Y/N nodded her head in agreement.
"I'm L."

|| When I first wrote this chapter I completely forgot about Ryuk and the fact he was even in this sense so I had to magically add him lol. also we have officially written past the original point of the book! which is crazy to believe. On the other note, its crazy how much writing can be done for 10ish minutes of a show.

The time where Mc says "Just who is this guy?" Light says the exact same thing in the anime. so both light and mc are somewhat on the same wave length. Take that as you will^
Also I wanted to be inclusive towards people who wear head coverings whether for religious or other reasons, so please be kind and respectful to those may comment about having to use something. Its not a thing that should be judged period.
