As Blaine questioned Jamin, Mai and Sarah took Blake outside to ask him some questions.

"Blake, what's going on?" Mai asked, her voice firm but gentle. "Why did Jamin confess to Juke's murder?"

   Blake hesitated, looking around nervously.

"I...I don't know. He said that he has to, he didn't give me a reason as to why," Blake said. "But Jamin gave me a file of all his investigations."

Sarah's eyes narrowed. "What did it say?"

Blake took a deep breath before responding.

"Jamin discovered that the Greek images didn't mean people, but a group of people. We didn't manage to find out who Aries and Medusa were, but we did find the rest. And there was Dostoevsky."

Mai's expression turned thoughtful. "Who's Dostoevsky?"

Blake's eyes widened. "Jamin mentioned him, but he didn't tell me who he was or his importance."

Blake's expression turned serious as he spoke to Mai and Sarah.

"Guys, I need to tell you something," Blake said, his voice low. "Jamin doesn't have much time left."

Mai's eyes widened in shock. "What do you mean?"

Blake took a deep breath before responding.

"Jamin's condition...it's getting worse. While we were away we went to many hospitals but they said it's too late, he was left untreated for too long. He could go any time now."

Sarah's face fell as she processed the information. She felt a surge of emotions - sadness, anger, and desperation.

Without a second thought, Sarah turned and ran towards the police station. Mai and Blake called out after her, but she didn't stop.

She burst into the station, demanding to see Jamin. "I want to see him now!" Sarah shouted, her voice echoing off the walls.

The officers at the desk looked up at her in surprise. "Ma'am, I'm afraid that's not possible," one of the officers said.

But Sarah was beyond reason. She pushed past the officers and ran towards the holding cells. It took several officers to subdue her and drag her away.

As they led her out of the station, Sarah struggled and kicked. "Let me see him!" she shouted. "He's dying! I need to see him please let me go! I don't want to lose him too!"

But the officers just held her tighter, eventually sedating her and taking her home. Mai and Blake were waiting for her, their faces filled with concern.

"Sarah, I'm so sorry," Mai said, hugging her tightly.

But Sarah just shook her head, feeling helpless and defeated. Jamin was running out of time, and she was powerless to stop it.

Meanwhile, inside the investigation room, Blaine was pressing Jamin for more information.

"So, you're saying you killed Juke because you hated him for cheating on your mother?" Blaine asked, his voice skeptical.

    Jamin nodded, his expression emotionless.

Blaine raised an eyebrow. "I don't believe you, Jamin. You did not kill him. What are you hiding?"

"I will not speak until my lawyer gets her. I already called for her I will wait until she gets here."

As Blaine stood up to leave, Jamin spoke up. "Crime and Punishment."

Blaine turned back to him, his eyes narrowing.

"What does that mean?" Blaine asked.

Jamin gave him a cold glare. "You'll know once you see it."

Blaine's expression turned grim. He knew that Jamin was hiding something, and he was determined to find out what.

As Blaine left the investigation room, he couldn't shake off the feeling that Jamin's confession had a deeper meaning.

There was more to the story, and Blaine was determined to uncover it.

Over the next few hours, Blaine and his team dug deeper into Jamin's alibi and his possible motives for the crime. They interviewed witnesses, scoured the crime scene for evidence, and analyzed Jamin's phone records and computer activity.

But the more they investigated, the more questions they had. Jamin's alibi checked out, there was no clear motive for the crime nor any proof that he committed it in the first place. It was as if Jamin had confessed to the crime just for the sake of it.

As the sun began to set, Blaine was no closer to the truth. He had more questions than answers, there was nothing he could do but take the matter to court and convict him.

While he was walking home, Blaine passed by a store to see a friend. His friend, David, was the owner of the store.

    "Hey David", he said.

"If it isn't Detective Blaine, you looked stressed, tough case?"

David pulled out a chair and they both sat down together. Blaine began to pour out all of his problems to his trusted friend.

"David, I know the kid didn't kill him but I can't figure out why he said he did. It doesn't make sense to me", he said.

"If I'm being honest I believe that Sarah was the one who killed Juke. She has to have been the one. She caused that family so many problems. Her mother, Grace, she's in a mental hospital right now. She went mad and took all that grief on herself", David said.

"The way you are putting it, it sounds like someone did this for revenge", Blaine suspected.

    "Maybe then who?", David asked.

"I don't know. It could be one of the following. Mai, Grace or Rachel", Blaine said. David asked who were those people and he said that those were the people who Sarah was close with back when she was an officer.

"I've tried getting into contact with Rachel but I've failed. It's almost as if she vanished into thin air."

As they were talking, a rat bumped into a lamp which later fell onto a book stand and all the books fell.

"Eww you have rats?", Blaine said.

"Yeah, ever since you came here they've been showing up", he said.

"You are insulting someone with a gun, you don't seem to value your life."

"Come help me pack these books", he said, "besides I know that even tho you carry a gun you can't shoot it at anyone. You take pleasure in killing even if it is for justice."

Blaine had been and officer for over ten years and in all his dealings, Blaine had never once shot anyone with his gun. He believed that he was not worthy or in the place to take a life.

While they were packing the books Blaine picked a book entitled, Crime and Punishment, Blaine remembered that those were Jamin's last words to him. Jamin picked up the book, and the authors name shocked him.

" Fyodor Dostoevsky. Oh no, that's his plan, it's way too dangerous he s can't. Why is trying to meet up with Luther Dostoevsky?"
