Jamin lay in his hospital bed, his eyes closed as he tried to catch his breath. He had been hospitalized for hours, and he was starting to feel a little better. As he lay there, he couldn't help but think about everything that had happened. He thought about Grace, and how she had been hurt. He also thought about his mother, Sarah, and how she had always been there for him.
Just as he was starting to drift off to sleep, he heard a soft voice beside him.
"Jamin?" Sarah said, her voice gentle. "Can you hear me?"
Jamin's eyes flickered open, and he smiled weakly at his mother. "Hey, Mom," he whispered.
Sarah smiled back at him, her eyes filled with concern. "Hey, sweetie. How are you feeling?"
Jamin shrugged, wincing in pain. "I've been better."
Sarah nodded sympathetically. "You need to take care of yourself, Jamin. You can't keep pushing yourself like this."
Jamin nodded, feeling a pang of guilt. He knew his mother was right.
Sarah reached out and took his hand, her touch warm and comforting. "You're doing a great job, Jamin. But you need to focus on your health right now."
Jamin nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards his mother.
As they sat there in silence, Jamin couldn't help but think about how much his mother had sacrificed for him. She had always been there for him, supporting him and encouraging him.
"Mom?" Jamin said, his voice barely above a whisper.
Sarah looked at him, her eyes curious. "Yes, sweetie?"
Jamin's eyes locked on hers. "I'm sorry," he said. "I'm sorry for putting you through all of this."
Sarah's face softened, and she reached out to stroke his hair. "You don't have to apologize, Jamin. I'm just glad you're safe."
Jamin felt a lump form in his throat as he looked at his mother. He knew he didn't deserve her love and support, but he was grateful for it nonetheless.
Just then, a doctor came into the room. "Sarah, can I have a word with you?" he asked.
Sarah nodded, smiling at Jamin. "I'll be right back."
The doctor nodded and turned to leave. "After this, I'd like to see you in my office," he said to Sarah.
Sarah nodded, and the doctor left the room.
Jamin looked up at his mother, his eyes curious. "What did he want?" he asked.
Sarah smiled. "I don't know. But I want to talk to you first."
Jamin nodded, his eyes locked on his mother's.
"I talked to Grace," Jamin said, his voice barely above a whisper.
Sarah's eyes widened in surprise. "You did? How is she?"
Jamin's face was serious. "She's...different. But she's getting better."
Sarah nodded, her eyes thoughtful.
Jamin's eyes locked on hers. "She wants to see you."
Sarah's eyes widened in surprise, and she looked away, her face thoughtful.
After a moment, she turned back to Jamin. "I'll do it," she said, "Soon."
Jamin nodded, feeling a sense of relief.
Sarah's expression turned serious. "Jamin, I need to tell you something. There was a hack at the police station, the day Dr. Lee got me, there was a video and they're suspecting Detective Blaine."
