Chapter 11

I couldn't wait for school to be over, I was excited about my date tonight with Nathan, and everytime I would think about it, the day would start to feel like it was going slower.

I was finally in my last class of the day. I sat at my desk watching the clock tick waiting for the time to reach 3:45. I listened to people laughing and talking with their friends, while some people finished their work or read. The bell finally rang and as I walked out of the classroom I was met with the girls.

"So your going out with Nathan tonight?" Landreigh asked. "Yep, Im not sure wheres he's taking me but he told me to dress nice, something formal."

I walked with the girls towards the exit of the school, and as we walked I listened to them talking about Nathan. We finally made it to the exit and walked down the stairs. The girls suddenly stopped, I turned to look at them and watched their gaze shift across the parking lot. I looked towards where they were looking and noticed Nathan walking up to us.

"Hey Addi" his voice low, but calm as he approached. "He calls you Addi?? You already got a nickname?!" Kaylee shouted. I could feel heat rise to my cheeks as he approached next to me, his hand moved down to my lower back and rested there.

The girls just staired at Nathan, practically drooling. "Are they alright?" He asked letting out a small chuckle. "Oh yeah, their just being themseleves." I joked.

"Okay, lets go." He said as he lead me away from my friends. "Where are we going I thought we weren't going out till later?" I asked, confused. "I know, I'm just dropping you off at home so you don't have to walk."

He lead me to the his car and opened the passenger seat for me to sit into. Before I got in he pulled my bag off my shoulders and placed it in his backseat. His hand lightly brushed my arm as he took it, causing a sudden warmth to fill my body.

He gave me a soft smile before taking his place in the driver seat. He pulled out of the parking lot and headed towards my house. "So where are you taking me tonight?" I asked.

"It's a surprise you'll see." He glanced over at me and then back at the road.

When we pulled into my driveway he shut his car off and came around the car to let me out. After he let me out he grabbed my bag out for the backseat and handed it to me. "Ill pick you up at 8 so be ready by then, and remember to dress formal." I smiled and nodded before turning to head inside.

As soon as I got in the door I head his car start and leave my driveway. I glanced at the time, 4:00, leaving 4 hours for me to get ready. I ran up the stairs to my bedroom, when I got in I threw my bag down and sat on my bed, I tried to call my mom to tell her about my date tonight, but I was only met with a voicemail.

My eyes started to water, but I quickly brushed it off before any tears fell. I shouldn't be crying, I should be happy, I got a date with a gorgeous man. I walked towards my bathroom and turned my shower on. I let the water get to the right temperature and steam filled the bathroom. I peeled my clothes off and went to step in when I noticed myself in the mirror.

I looked over my body, where bruises used to be dark, but were now lightening up. I turned back towards the shower, trying not to remember that night at Kenneth's party. I let the water run down my body for a while, soaking my hair and skin. I went on to my shower routine, only this time I shaved, used a sugar scrub, and added a deep conditioner to my hair.

After I had made sure my body and hair was completely washed I stepped out of the shower and wrapped a pink towel around my body, and one around my hair.

I made my way into my closet to find a dress for tonight, he said formal so I was looking for a dress that stood out, but not to crazy. I ran my hands through my dresses before my eyes landed on the perfect one. I silk deep red dress that was reached the floor. I grabbed a black lace set of panties and a matching bra.
