Chapter 3

Before I knew it, it was already morning. I sat up in bed and checked the time. 10:00 am.

I overslept a little later than I wanted to but it was fine. I walked downstairs into the kitchen and was once again greeted by an empty fridge reminding me I needed to go grocery shopping.

I made my back up the stairs to my room and slid on a pair of white vans before I grabbed a purse and made my way back downstairs and headed out the door. I was greeted with the chilly air and began walking. As I walked multiple cars passed by, and I wished I had one so is wouldnt have to walk everywhere.

After 30 minute of walking I finally arrived at the store. When I walked in I grabbed a cart reminding me to only get what I can carry since I was walking. I made my over to some isles scanning them before grabbing the items I needed.

After I've been shopping for about an hour I made my way back up to the front of the store to check out. When I got up there I was greeted by a friendly smile and I began placing my items on the counter as the lady started scanning them.

After she was done she read the total to me. "$132.26 is your total, will you be using cash or card today?" she asked as she placed the last items in a bag.

My eyes went wide as I was shocked at how much prices went up. I knew I had more than enough money to pay for it I was just shocked it costed that much for 4 bags worth of groceries. "Uhm card is fine" I said turning to grab my card out of my purse.

After I paid I thanked the woman that was behind the counter and grabbed the bags off the counter and made my way back home.

When I got home I walked in and set the bags onto the counter, and began putting the groceries away. When I was done I threw the bags into a drawer and walked back up the stairs.

I plopped down onto my bed and scrolled through my phone for awhile. Before I knew it 3 hours had passed by leaving 2 hours before the girls would arrive. I got up from my bed and headed downstairs for a snack before I made my way back up the stairs and walked to my bathroom.

I started the shower and quickly rinsed off and washed my body before I hopped out. I walked to my closet and grabbed a matching underwear and bra set before I slid on some shorts and a t-shirt. I went downstairs and began tidying up the house before the girls showed up.

When I was done I heard a soft knock on the door. I walked over and opened the door and was greeted by the girls. I moved out of the way to let them in as they walked past me and strode up the stairs, me following behind them.

When we got into my room we began getting ready. Each of us took turns doing makeup at the vanity and did our hair in the bathroom. I walked over to my closet to pick out which dress I was going to wear. I grabbed 2 dresses, they were the same just different colors. I walked out of the closet holding up the dresses and asked the girls which one I should wear. "Pink or black?" I asked as the girls turned to face me. They eyed the dresses and looked back at me before deciding I should wear the black one.

I hung the pink one back in my closet and changed into the the black dress we had picked out. It was a sparkly mini dress with a small slit on the bottom of it, and tied in the back.

I slid off my clothes and stepped into the dress. I looked at myself in the mirror admiring myself before picking out a pair of black strap heels. I walked out of the closet and sat on the bed sliding them onto my feet.

When it was my turn for hair and makeup I decided to straighten my hair. I liked my natural soft waves but tonight called for slick straight hair. For makeup I just did something light, concealer, blush, mascara, and some nude lip gloss.
