The next morning when I woke up, I shifted my head up to see Nathan already watching me with a small smile on his lips. I reached up and gave him a soft peck on the lips.
I got up from his hold. I leaned over and placed a kiss on his forhead while running a hand through his soft hair. He closed his eyes in response. I heard him give a quite hum as I brushed my fingers through his hair. He always liked when I did that. It provided him some kind of comfort.
"You ready to go home, pretty boy?" I asked. He started nodding aggressively like a little kid. I giggled as I reached down into the duffel bag to retrieve his clean set of clothes. I'm sure he couldn't wait to get out of his ugly hospital gown. He looked quite silly in a little dress.
"Yes thank you! Your my life saver I swear. I cant stand a second longer in this fucking dress." He mumbled.
"But you look like a princess!" I said while trying not to laugh. He shot me a glare making me instantly be quite.
"I'm gonna go finish your paperwork." He nodded as he began sliding out of the gown. I cought a glimpse of his defined abs as I walked out of the door. I quickly shut it before he noticed me gawking.
ABout 45 minutes later I had finished the paperwork and was watching a nurse change Nathan's bandages. He grunted as she touched his wound signaling that it was hurting. She gave him 2 pain relievers for the ride home.
She also gave me 3 different perscriptions that I needed to stop and pick up on the way home along with a list of stuff to get to treat and change his wound.
He was now being wheeled out of the hospital in a wheelchair towards my car and he was not very happy about it. He held onto my hand making sure I stayed next to him as we walked. I couldn't help but notice the quick glances the nurse would give to Nathan and the glares they would give to me. Jelouse bitches I swear.
"I can walk you know?" Nathan grumbled. "I know but the doctors gave strict orders that you need to walk as little as possible for the next week."
"It's not like I got shot in the leg." I ran my hand through his hair causing him to ease back a bit. "You'll be alright." He shot me a glare and I quickly moved away from him and opened the passenger door to the Escalade.
He held onto the door with one hand and had the other arm draped across my shoulder as he eased into the passenger seat with a groan. He reclined the seat back as much as it would go, so he was laying almost flat, just a little elevated. It hurt him to be sitting up straight for to long, so I tried to make sure he was as comfortable as possible.
He slid his sunglasses on and ran his hand through his ruffled hair before pulling the hood over his head. He crossed his arms over his chest as he leaned back trying to get comfortable. I had to drive carefully since he couldn't buckle up. It would run over his gunshot wound and I didnt want it to hurt him.
I drove to the nearest pharmacy to get his prescriptions filled. I parked in a spot and shut off the engine. "Where's my wallet?" Nathan asked. I opened my cinter concil and pulled out the black leather wallet and waved it around. "Right here. why?"
he reached up and took it out of my hands before opening it and pulling out his black American express card. He held it in-between his fingers as he gestured it towards me. "I don't need your money. I have my own I can pay for it."
"But I don't want you to." He said.
"Nathan put it up now." he pushed his glasses down a bit so my eyes could see his. "Just take the card Addi, please." After a moment for back and forth glaring I finally took his card and headed into the store.
