Adelyn's POV

After Nathan had just yelled at me I stormed out of the room. I paced the hallway for a minute before I went back in the room. WHen I walked in the shower was running so Nathan was in the shower. I quickly grabbed my bag and shoved my stuff in it and threw it over my shoulder.

I walked out of his house ignoring Jared who was trying to talk to me. I ran down his driveway and towards my house.

I heard thunder as I ran, so I picked up my pace hoping to beat the rain. After running for a while I reached my neighborhood. As I walked down my street the rain started coming down. It was hard and heavy burning my skin as it came down.

I finally reached my front door, soaking wet. My hair was sticking to my face and my clothes were sticking to my body. I tried to open the front door but realized it was still bolted shut. I ran around the side of the house and opened my kitchen window. I knew it would be unlocked because I never lock it, but thinking about it now after the break in, I should probably start.

I threw my bag through the window before I climbed in myself. I hopped off the counter and turned on the lights. I let out a deep sigh as I looked around my house, which was now trashed.

I carefully went up the stairs to my bedroom, making sure not to trip over anything in the process. When I got to my room I peeled the wet clothes off my body and slid on a clean pair of shorts and a t-shirt.

I went back downstairs after a moment and stared at the mess. I decided to start cleaning it up. I grabbed a trash bag from the drawer and started picking up the trash and broken stuff.

I came across a picture of me and my parents laying on the ground. The frame it was in was now shattered. I picked up the picture and staired at it for awhile before setting it down on the table. I could feel the tears swell up in my eyes as I continued staring at the picture.

Suddenly I felt warm hands wrap around my waist. I looked down to see the familiar tattoos and bruised knuckles. Nathan.

I quickly turned around and was met with his gaze. His eyes were now a darker grey. "How did you get in here."

"You left the window open, I came to your door but it was still bolted shut." I looked over at the window that was still open. I really got to get better about closing things. I walked over and slammed the window down locking it as it shut.

"Addi." He quietly said. "No Nathan. You yelled at me when I tried to figure out what happened to you." I watched his gaze soften. He looked like he was full of guilt. "Please Addi just listen to what I have to say." He whispered.

"You have 2 minutes make it quick." I said after thinking about it for awhile.

His eyes lit up a little bit and he stepped closer to me. I stepped back and he stopped. "No, stay right there and talk."

"Okay, first I want to apologize for yelling at you, I don't know what got into me." I nodded my head. "Next, I was irritated. I just beat the shit out of one of my best men for trying to touch you." I looked away from him and down at the floor. I started to feel bad.

He moved closer to me and was standing right Infront of me now. He gently grabbed a hold of my hands. "Look at me Addi." He quietly said. I slowly moved my eyes up and met his. "I would never do anything to hurt you Addi. You make me feel something. something I've never felt before, not with anyone." He placed my hand on his chest and I could feel his heart beating rapidly.

"You do this to me Adelyn. My heart races everytime im near you." I looked from his eyes down to his hand that was holding mine over his chest. "Addi I dont know what I'm feeling and it scares me." He whispered. I glanced back up at him. I know what he's feeling cause I've been feeling the same way. He's catching feelings for me.
