Chapter 12

After about 15 minutes our food finally came out. I had already finished my first glass of wine and the waitress had poured me another glass.

When she placed our food in front of us, it looked delicious. I immediately grabbed my fork and dug in.

"Mmm this is so good." I said. I looked up to see Nathan staring at me. He was smiling.

"What is there something on my face?" I grabbed a napkin and started wiping my mouth thinking maybe there was some sauce. He reached over and gently grabbed the napkin out of my mouth and set it back down on the table.

"No, I was just admiring you." He said. He looked up and his grey eyes locked on mine. I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks as we just looked into each other's eyes for a minute.

He smirked and looked away from me breaking contact. I must look like a tomato right now.

He began eating his food and I asked him, "Is your food good?" He gave me a nod and continued eating.

After we were done eating we talked and finished our wine. I was starting to feel the wine in my system.

The waitress came back over to our table. "Did you guys enjoy? Is there anything else you would like? Dessert maybe?"

"No, food was delicious. We would like the check now thanks." Nathan said. The waitress nodded and scurried away.

She came back a few moments later and placed the check down on the table. I glanced at it before Nathan quickly took it. I read that the total was $273.46. Jeez this place is really expensive. I grabbed my purse and went to pull out my card. When I pulled it out Nathan Immediatly grabbed my wrist. "No. Im paying. I brought you out tonight, so I will be paying."

"Are you sure? Nathan that's a lot of money." I said. He nodded and let go of my wrist. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his wallet. "Darling, I make triple this every hour. I've got it covered." He set 3 $100's on the table and stood up.

He extended his hand to me and I took it. As we were about to walk out of the resteraunt I noticed the waitress watching us. "Wait I have to use the restroom real quick." Nathan let go of my hand. "Okay, I'll be waiting for you right outside of these doors."

After I made sure he was outside I walked over to the waitress. She froze in her place when she noticed me coming over to her. As I approached her she tensed up. "Are you okay?" I asked. She nodded at me like she was a child. "Is there something wrong, you've been acting extremely nervous." She shook her head. "No mam. I'm incredibly sorry."

"Is there something your not telling me?" I asked. She paused for a moment and looked around the room. "That Mr.Hernandez is a dangerous man miss." She said. I started at her for a moment before speaking. "He's not dangerous. He's a very kind man." I said.

"You must not know him very well then miss." She said. Shes right I don't know him very well, but from what I do know about him, he doesnt sound or look the slightest bit dangerous. "I have to get back to work now..Enjoy the rest of your night..." with that she hurried away.

As I walked outside the door Nathan was standing there waiting, like he said he would be. I noticed that his car was already brung around to him. "Wow that was quick." I said. He walked over to the passenger door and opened it for me. I stepped in and he took his place in the driver seat and we began driving away from the resteraunt.

"Thank you." I said. He glanced over at me and noticed I was already looking at him. "For what?" He asked.

"For bringing me out tonight. I've never been on a date before. I had a lot of fun." I said.
