I prepared my bag for tommorow as I decided I would go back to school tomorrow.

I didn't want to go back yet but mom was right. I had finals to study for and needed to finish school with good grades. I didn't want to add another thing my mom would be disappointed with me for.

I made sure all my notebooks and pens were in my bag and set it by my door. I got in the shower and began doing my shower routine. I scrubbed shampoo and conditioner in my hair then washed my body with vanilla scented body wash, then rinsed off. I decided to shave even though my legs wouldn't be showing, I just hate the feeling of hair on my body if it wasn't on top of my head.

After I stepped out for the shower I wrapped a white towel around my body and another around my hair. As I walked passed the bathroom mirror I noticed the dark bruises on my neck still. Those are going to need some makeup to cover them tommorow.

I walked over to my closet and put on a pair of shorts and an old t-shirt. I brushed my hair out and went to get into bed when my phone started ringing. It was my mom again. I answered hesitantly before putting the phone up to my ear.

"Hello mom."

"I assume you already know why I'm calling." she said. She sounded pissed. "Yes I do. I'm going back tomorrow so don't worry about getting another call."

"Don't tell me what I can and cant worry about Adelyn! You better go back tomorrow or I'll have your Aunt Tracy come stay with you." she said. I could hear beeping in the background and a lot of talking, so she must still be at work.

"I am going back. When are you coming home?" I asked. "I'm not sure probably not for a while, but I'll be back by your graduation."

"But my graduation isnt for another 4 months?! Your gonna miss my birthday? Im gonna be 18 its an important birthday for me mom."

"Yes I will but you will be an adult then. Im not having this discussion with you, you know I cant get out of work as I please. I got to go now I have a surgery to get to." And with that she hung up. "Of course you do." I muttered under my breath.

I layed down in my bed and snuggled myself into the sheets. Sleep eventually creeped in around 3:00am.

My alarm went off at exactly 6:00am. I layed in bed for a moment before getting up to prepare for a day I was going to dread.

I walked to my closet and picked out a pair of sweatpants and a white t-shirt. I wasnt going to dress up like I usually do. I walked over to my nightstand and out my hair in a messy bun and did a small amount of makeup. Just concealor to cover my brusies and eye bags and some mascara. I topped it off with a little bit of lip gloss.

I slid on a pair or white converse and headed down stairs. I made a bowl of oatmeal with a glass of water and sat down at the counter. I began eating when I realized it was already 7:25am. I quickly got up and grabbed my bag out of my room then raced back down stairs towards the door.

I locked the door behind me as I went out. I quickly walked out of the driveway and headed towards school. It was a 20 minute walk so I tried to hurry, but my leg was slowly starting to cause me pain so I slowed down a little bit. I havent changed my bandages on my leg yet. I hope I dont get an infection, Ill change them when I get home later.

After 25 minutes of walking I made it to school with 5 minutes to spare before the bell rang. I made my way through the crowd of people trying to get to class. When I made it to my locker my friends were stsnding around it. "Hey guys." I said as I approached them.

"Where the hell have you been Adelyn! We've been worried about you, and you havent been answering the phone." Brooklyn said. the rest of the girls nodded with her as they agreed. "I wasnt feeling good so I stayed home. Sorry you guys were worried." I quietly said.
