Jordyn's pov.
I was still stranded at Bird's when Crash showed up, "Finally where the hell were you?" I asked him. "Where's Carter?" He asked, completely ignoring me. "It's a long story but Fairfax prison.." Bird said and he immediately got angry. "Why is she there?" he asked and Bird shook her head, "it will all go away if you give back that necklace." "the one you told me to pawn? I got 20 grand for it," he said. "it's worth 100!" Bird complained.
"You said that your mom wouldn't notice it was gone, and then you threw Carter under the bus because you're too scared to stand up to mommy dearest," I snapped at her. Ofe stood up and pulled me away from Bird who I was very close to striking with a closed fist. "How are we gonna get her out?" Crash asked and I stared at Bird, "you're looking at the spoiled brat. Just tell them that the poor little rich girl did it. It's the truth anyways." Bird stepped towards me but Crash intercepted her, "is that true?" Bird didn't reply, which in it of itself was the best answer.
Ofe dropped me off at home and I ran inside, "where's Carter?" I asked. "She's still in jail." David said and Taylor walked in, "Jail? For what?" "Stealing Bird's mom's necklace." Elizabeth explained. "Except she didn't." I said. "Who did?" David asked. "Bird. She said that her mom wouldn't miss it. I was there. Bird is a sad and lonely girl who's been jealous of Carter since the day they met. It doesn't help that Crash likes Carter and not Bird." I answered bitterly.
There was a knock on the door and Elizabeth opened it to reveal Bird and her parents. "It seems that my daughter lied to me, stole my property and threw your daughter under the bus for it. The charges have been dropped, I'm so sorry." Her mom said. "You're a miserable little bitch, and I hope Carter wipes that smug rich girl look off your face before I do." I growled at her and stormed upstairs. "I sure hope that Carter is more forgiving than her sister of your actions, for your sake Beatrix." Her mom said to her.
There was a knock at the door of the bedroom that I still shared with Carter and I looked up to a very disheartened Taylor standing there. "What's with the long face Tay?" I asked and she grimaced, "the station just called.. Carter's gone. She um.. She left with Crash." "Left? Like ran away.. Left?" I asked in disbelief and she nodded. I leapt to my feet, "No she wouldn't just.. She wouldn't leave us." I said and Taylor gripped my arm, "she'll come back. She's just angry at Bird and mom and dad.. It'll be okay." My heart was racing as I thought back in time. I couldn't lose her again. Carter.. Please come home.
I slept in Taylor's room last night, apparently now unable to sleep alone. Thanks new trauma.. You've been fun. Taylor's phone rang and we rushed to answer Carter's call.
Carter: Please don't tell anyone that I called.
Taylor: When are you coming home?
Jordyn: Yeah, this isn't cool Car.
Carter: *sighs* guys..
Taylor: Bird's mom dropped all charges. You're not in trouble anymore.
Carter: look.. I'm not sure if I'm coming back but I do want to see you guys.
Jordyn: Not sure if your.. You have to come back. You can't just leave me here.
Taylor: us. You can't abandon your family.
Grant: yeah.
Jordyn: That's what I meant.
Carter: Look, it's not safe for Crash now. He broke probation and bailed me out.
Jordyn: Elizabeth will help him again. Please Car.. just come home.
