Alice and Edward had arrived back in the States with Bella, and the rest of the Cullen family was waiting for Edward and Alice to drop Bella off at her home before they got to the Cullen house. Carlisle and Esme were excited to see their family members return, unknown to them that their granddaughter wouldn't be with them.
Jasper was still upset with the revelation about Alice and Bella and was mostly thinking about where he went wrong for Alice to cheat on him.
As for Emmett and Rosalie, they both are still, rightfully, angry but are keeping their minds blank so Edward couldn't read them. They are also not making any decisions for Alice to pick up in visions. They are just sitting on the couch next to each other waiting for the people they no longer consider family to walk through the door.
Alice and Edward walked into the door.
"Alice. Edward." Carlisle greets with a relieved smile.
Before either of the two mentioned could reply, Rosalie pounced on Alice, and Emmett attacked Edward. Emmett and Rosalie weren't holding back as they unleashed their fury on the two traitors.
"Rosalie! Emmett! Stop this!" Esme exclaimed, but neither listened.
"Jasper, do something." Carlisle instructs
"I'm afraid I can't, Carlisle." Jasper says as he stoically watches the fights.
"Emmett! Rosalie! Stop this, this instant!" Carlisle yells. Carlisle never yells, so Rosalie and Emmett decided to stop their attack and back up and glare at the duo from their spot next to Jasper.
The living room was destroyed and Alice and Edward didn't look too good. Alice had cracks covering her body and multiple bald spots from her hair being ripped out and her arm was halfway ripped off. Edward on the other hand was covered in cracks with both of his arms torn off and his torso partly torn apart.
"What in the world has gotten into you two?! We do not attack family members!" Esme demands as Carlisle walks over to the two gifted vampires and starts to put them back together...although Alice will have to wait for her hair to grow back.
"No, we just trade them away to save a damn human whore of a blood singer." Rosalie says while glaring at the two hurt vampires.
"They deserve everything we did. Frankly, I should set their asses on fire." Emmett adds, also glaring at Edward and Alice.
"What are you two talking about?" Carlisle asks
"Did you not notice that one member of our family still isn't here?" Rosalie asks in disbelief as she looks back and forth between Carlisle and Esme.
Carlisle and Esme look around in confusion before their expressions become one of realization as they realize Karlee isn't there.
"Where's Karlee?" Esme asks
"She's in Volterra. She's with her mate. She will be happy." Alice says.
"That's wonderful." Esme says with a smile.
"It is NOT wonderful! Alice lied to Karlee and brought her to Volterra knowing she would be forced to stay because it would save her stupid mistress!" Rosalie yells
"Mistress?" Esme asks confused
"Bella. Alice and Bella were having an affair before we left Forks." Jasper informs them. Carlisle and Esme look at Jasper shocked before looking at Edward and Alice.
"That's not true." Edward says with pain still in his voice.
"Yes it is. Karlee doesn't lie to us and she definitely wouldn't lie about this. She wouldn't have said a thing if she wasn't certain."
