Karlee was in her room looking over the notes she made in her notebook from the book on fairies she was reading in the library. She found a few charms about veiled matter, a.k.a. ghosts, afterlife connections, and one about causing things that are normally unable to be seen with normal vision (for humans or supernatural species) to materialize. It's not like conjuring because whatever it is is already there, it just needs to be made visible to the normal eye. Using all of the charms she found information on, Karlee figured out how to make it so Marcus could see Didyme's spirit as long as he stayed in physical contact with the ring.

Karlee needed the ring because it is the thing from his relationship with Didyme that Marcus holds the most dear. Marcus had told Karlee that the ring was something Didyme loved and she never took it off. Didyme's ring was the perfect thing to use to represent the two of them. Once Karlee double checked the notes for her charm to make sure it would work like she wanted, she put the ring on a chain and then placed the charm on the ring.

After the charm was cast, Karlee was ready to give the ring to Marcus...she just hoped it worked and that Marcus wouldn't be too upset with her taking the ring without asking.

Karlee knew that the tour group should be disposed of and the throne room should be clean by now so she decided to leave her room and make her way towards the throne room, with Didyme's ring in her pocket, even though she was by herself. She also had a ring for Felix that she charmed so he could be in the sun without exposing himself as a vampire.

As Karlee is walking through the hallway towards the throne room, she literally runs into a vampire that is new to the lower guard when turning a corner.

"Oh. Sorry. Didn't mean to run into you." Karlee says with a smile.

"That's quite alright, but what are you doing wondering around here?" The vampire asks

Karlee felt a little uneasy with this vampire so she conjured one of her charmed knives into her hand. She has quite a few charmed weapons that can be used against vampires and cause them harm.

"And that's your business because?"

The vampire chuckles menacingly as he takes a step forward towards Karlee.

"You know, we were told to leave you alone, but I could only imagine what fairy blood tastes like...and harming the mate of one of the kings just happens to be a bonus."

"I thought you served the kings and were loyal to them, you know since you're in the Volturi." Karlee says as she takes a cautious step back.

"I'm just playing the long game. I actually want the Volturi to fall. Besides I can't resist the allure of rare blood. Don't worry I'll make sure you won't suffer...too much." The vampire says before lunging at Karlee.

Karlee quickly dodges and stabs the vampire in the neck with her knife. The vampire groans in pain as Karlee spins around him to face him but the vampire shoves Karlee back and she hits the wall hard, causing bruises and a cut on her forehead. Karlee gets up quickly and dodges another attack before she conjures a charmed sword and cuts off one of the vampires arms and then cuts the other off. The vampire runs towards her and Karlee uses his momentum against him by stabbing him in the gut and pinning him on the wall using her sword. She also used her telekinesis to move him against the wall to pin him there. She conjures two more knives and stabs one in the vampire's eye before turning and running towards the throne room. She would have killed the vampire herself but she knew that keeping the vampire alive is the best way to prove what happened since Aro can't read her mind.

Karlee rushes into the throne room without knocking and runs over to Demetri and Felix.

"Woah. What happened?" Felix asks Karlee. Caius sees his disheveled mate and notices the blood on her forehead and speeds over to her.
