She forgot. A few weeks ago, no one would have believed that.
"Do you think she'll freak out when we tell her?" Momo asked playing with one of her fries.
"I think whatever she is doing now is way more fun, she'll let it slip."
"True," Dahyun, who had recently joined the two friends supported Tzuyu's answer. "If she planned it ignoring this, then it was way more important."
The girls met at their usual diner, as they do on Sunday afternoons. This time, Chaeyoung had forgotten.
"You drove her there. How did she look?" Tzuyu asked Momo, curious about Chaeyoung's decision.
"She kept doing that thing where she rehearses what she wants to say... I mean she was doing it in her head but I could tell," Momo nodded remembering their ride. "She did not look nervous, though, just excited."
"That's good," Dahyun said, she still felt out of place around her friends after skipping a few smoothie Sundays. "I hope everything goes right."
"It will," Tzuyu said. "Mina is as much interested as Chaeyoung is, they look completely disgusting around each other."
"I can confirm that," Momo frowned. "I don't know how she did it but that girl really likes our Chaeng."
"I see..."
"Yeah, a bit too late you see," Tzuyu said frowning at her. "We have a pendant talk."
"Yes," Momo supported firmly, pushing her food aside, which meant real seriousness coming from her.
Dahyun knew this might happen, which is why she dismissed Angelo from today's smoothie Sunday, explaining she needed to talk with her friends. The boy understood, if anything he was glad. He missed the girls and all of them together.
"Okay..." Dahyun sighed and slid down slightly on her seat. She would rather ignore everything. That is what she had been doing anyway.
"You are the one who has always taught us how to behave, talk, and be around Chaeyoung since we were kids!" Tzuyu seemed really annoyed at Dahyun. She cared for Chaeyoung a great deal.
"Exactly, you are the one who forbade me from whistling around her because it annoys her! I have not whistled ever since but suddenly you are homophobic?" Momo was frowning at her and meant every word. But the fact that her complaint involved the prohibition of whistling, made Tzuyu chuckle at her.
"Be serious," she whispered at her still giggling.
"I am," Momo considered this an important matter. "Explain yourself."
Dahyun looked at her lap, her hands seemed so interesting now. "Uh..." She delayed. "Listen... I am sorry, okay? I was surprised that's all."
"Dub..." Tzuyu tried to be less aggressive. She was not completely mad after all. They had to fix this, whatever it was.
"Fine, just, of course, it's okay if she likes girls... we have known since forever."
"But?" Momo raised her eyebrows at her.
"She can like girls, not me, okay?"
"Well, yeah, but that is not up to you," Tzuyu replied feeling more confused than before.
Momo laughed a bit incredulously. "What are you even saying?"
