Author's note:
Hi, everyone! Small update but important steps, I hope you like it <3

One thing was walking down the hall with a senior classmate by your side, not feeling judged. Another completely different one was walking down the hallway with your new... friend.

And another, even more different, was getting invited to get ice cream with your new senior friend. No judgement at all. 'this is so hard to believe'

Mina was nervous. A lot. She was not showing it, though. She would never. She has the ability to remain calm on most occasions, no matter what. Still, she really wanted this to go well.

Okay. Maybe it was not exactly a friendship invitation. Momo and Tzuyu had invited her to talk about important matters. But she couldn't believe it either way.

'Okay, calm down. It's going to be okay, they love Chaeyoung, your Chaeyoung, it's okay'

Ah, but she still made Mr. Jung circle the block a few times before getting out of the car. He had not questioned it, something Mina was grateful for.

She smiled, entering the familiar place. There she had had her first official date with Chaeyoung. She was definitely getting vanilla ice cream. She felt slightly embarrassed at the flash memory of Chaeyoung's cold, sweet lips. 'how embarrassing'

"Loser!"

'ah, warm welcome'

The voice made her funny thoughts fade away. She figured the nickname was a good start already.

She approached the table and sat carefully in front of Momo. The girl was wearing casual clothes, a sweatshirt, and sweatpants—an expensive set, she made it seem so stylish.

"Hi."

"Tzuyu had to cancel last minute," Momo explained.

"Oh," Mina nodded. 'oh. oh, no' It was easier with Tzuyu around. She was kind and easygoing. She felt a bit more nervous, but she couldn't let it show. "Is she okay?."

"Yes, all good," Momo nodded and waved a hand dismissively. "Just some last-minute family thing."

"I see." Yeah, Mina didn't usually have last-minute family things, but she definitely had family things once in a while. Unexpected, or expected—yet terribly unnecessary and annoying. She hoped Tzuyu had a good last-minute thing.

"I'll get the Churro Dessert," Momo said, interrupting her thoughts. "What do you feel like having?"

"I will get some vanilla ice cream."

"Simple or double?" Momo asked, getting up.

"Oh, no, no," Mina said, realizing Momo wanted to go and order for her, meaning she would also pay for it. "I'll get it."

"So, double," Momo answered herself, and completely ignored Mina to go pay for it.

Mina felt she was not going to win. Sometimes, when she was not being purposely annoying, Momo showed herself to be quite bossy. It was attractive.

She didn't feel comfortable with the girl paying for her ice cream, but it was a done deal. Momo came back after a few minutes with a big double ice cream cup and a cone on top.

"There was no need," Mina received her ice cream with a bit of shame.

"Don't worry," Momo said as she sat again, her Churro Dessert looking both warm and cold; it smelled really good. "You date Chaeyoung—willingly may I add, is the least I can do to brighten up your day."
