Percy knew that there would be inevitable changes to the timeline that none of them could have accounted for, but he didn't know that their parents loved them so much as to put aside the disgust and hate they felt for the other side of them. It was disconcerting to see, if he was honest with himself.

He had known that his father had loved him in his previous life as well, despite having a problem showing it. He had known that his father would love him in this life as well, but to see it in a way where he was ready to put everything on the line so he could see that both of them would live the best life possible, no matter what, it made him cry.

Of course his parents had thought it was because he had let his twin go, and while that was part of the reason, he knew it was more than that. It was the fact that his family had grown from him and his mother to his sister, his brother, his Mama Amphy and his dad.

Him and Rhea had spent the day outside, just the two of them, eating all the blue food they could, and running around the streets. Acting like kids.

It was a nice feeling, since they didn't get much of it, being demigods and all, but it was a nice relaxing day for them.

She had two weeks before she went and was left at the Wolf House to meet Lupa.

Percy didn't remember much of the short time he had spent with Lupa, just that she was tough and made him stronger.

And he told his sister the same, knowing that she was panicking at being introduced to the Romans.

So he cuddled with her every night, holding her close and promising her everything would be fine.

He helped her pack little by little, and watched her spend a day with each member before she got swept in the craziness.

He knew she was coming back for the summers, but that was nearly nine to ten months away, way too long for everyone of them, especially each other.

Percy was there when she had loaded her stuff in the car.

He was there when they arrived a bit before the Wolf House.

He was there as she held him close, closer than ever as if to reassure herself that it would be fine, and he was doing the same.

He was there as she placed a final kiss on his cheek and said goodbye to their mom, dad and Mama Amphy.

He was there as she got her first weapon, a trident and a newly formed sword named Seirína -translated as siren, the name given to her by Mama Amphy- and hung the charms on her necklace.

He watched as she left.

And he cried, because he was scared.

But he knew it would be fine, it had to be.

Or The Moirai would face something far more dangerous than Gaea.

And that was a fact.

The Moirai stood as they watched the yarn knit itself, their forms utterly still as they watched it happen.

Fate was writing itself, an occurrence that never happened before in any version of the timeline.

It was truly a gorgeous sight to see, because it was not one person's fate being made, but multiple as many different colours of yarn knotted together, twisting and turning in a way to create a masterpiece.

It was a blanket, they had guessed, watching it grow bigger and wider.

They knew how it was happening, knew that as the written fate unravelled, it would not be written by them, it would be written by the children.
