The four spent days in that suite, the twins taking one bed, and Grover and Annabeth taking the other.
It was quiet, and restful. Annabeth finished her book, while Grover practiced his reed pipes, which now played a nice tune thanks to the continuous practice Grover had gotten. Though, the three demigods would forever be grateful for buying earplugs on a whim.
Percy and Rhea talked and planned during the entire ride, future prophecies or trips with the family. They planned their outfits for the Charity Gala for homeless children, trying to find the one where Leo lived, give him some friends so when he came to Camp Half-Blood, he would have backup instead of being treated with suspicion.
They planned their dates to visit Atlantis, and planned on which fronts they could help their family prepare for the upcoming war.
It was on their second day that a newspaper was delivered with their breakfast, a news article on the front page about the Jackson family.
The whereabouts of the Jackson family, consisting of thirty-eight year old famous author Sally Jackson and her fourteen-year old twin children, Percy and Rhea Jackson, are still unknown. Authorities are still pursuing any leads provided to them through the tip hot-line. Jackson twins were said to be spotted on the run. Witnesses state that it looked like the two were alone with two other teenagers and running like someone was chasing them. There have been sightings of Sally Jackson, and authorities have now considered abduction as motive. No comments were given by the NYPD as of yet, and will be published as soon as given by them. For any other information, contact the NYPD tip hot-line.
Let's just say Percy was amused by how fame could totally switch the narrative from terroristic delinquents to on-the-run from abductors and children in need of help.
Annabeth seemed to be surprised at the somewhat positive outcome of the article, considering most demigods were always portrayed in a bad limelight when articles were published about them.
The twins seemed happy to look out the window when they weren't talking. Once, they spotted a family of centaurs galloping across a wheat field, bows at the ready, as they hunted for lunch. The little boy centaur, who was the size of a second-grader on a pony, caught their eye and waved.
Another time, towards evening, they saw a huge Nemean Lion moving through the woods. Its fur glinted gold in the evening light. Then it leaped through the trees and was gone.
It was also on the second day that, after Annabeth had finished her book, that she continued to look out the windows like a Victorian bride waiting for her husband to come home, her face pensive and serious and with continuous sighing like she was auditioning to break some kind of world record for the amount of sighs done in the shortest time.
Rhea rolled her eyes as the three hour mark hit and turned her head towards the blonde, an unimpressed eyebrow raised. Percy and Grover were both sleeping, so it seemed like it was up to the sea princess to get her to stop.
"What is it that had you sighing like a Victorian bride waiting for her husband to come home, Chase?" Rhea asked.
"It's nothing." Annabeth said, before letting out another sigh.
Rhea rolled her eyes.
"Spit it out, your sighs grow more dramatic by the second, and that is saying something considering I live with Percy and am dating my boyfriend, both of whom could rival Klaus Mikaelson with their dramatics." Rhea deadpanned.
Annabeth turned to look at the girl, eyebrows raised in surprise.
"You have a boyfriend?"
Rhea's eyes and features softened for a moment before her mask was back in place, and she looked at Annabeth, unimpressed by her trying to divert the topic.
