Morning [8:38]
Thursday
I climbed the stairs to my room and walked inside. I noticed the two bags off beside the bathroom door. I walked over to the bed and fell onto it. I was exhausted and I couldn't tell if it was because I had gone through two different shifts, or because I was up all night. Maybe even both.
I didn't care enough to think on it as my eyes began to close. They had barely been shut for a minute when loud pounding on the door brings me from my short, very brief, slumber.
I groaned while pulling myself from the bed, turning to face the door. I opened it when a rough body pushed past me. "Come on in I guess.." I scoffed. I shut the door behind me and look to the culprit.
"What do you want." I grunted, wiping the small-forming crust from my eyes. "For you to stay the hell away from my sister." Donavan growled, his eyes shining a vibrant yellow mixed with green. "Are you seriously doing this right now." I rolled my eyes.
"Do I look like I'm joking?" He scoffed while taking a step forward. - Who does this mutt think he is!? - 'I agree. I don't like his tone either. His body language seems a bit aggressive, don't you think.'
I could feel a sudden burning in my chest, my claws stretched from my finger nails as small fangs poked at my bottom lip. "Or what? What are you gonna do?" I said, taking a step towards the older boy.
He only smiled, though just for a minute before dropping it. Then he laughed, a hearty one at that. "I'm warning you 'Cammy', stay. Away. From Iris." He roughly pushed past me, hitting his shoulder into mine as he slammed the door behind him.
"Tch.." I scoffed and tried my best to avoid rushing out of this room and doing something I may regret. I took multiple breaths, sitting down on my bed as I did so. 'Why do you continue to let this, this lesser being mock and embarrass us.' Akila growled, my nails forming into sharp claws.
"Shut up Akila. In case you've forgotten, he's still the son of the alpha. And as much as I want to pound his face in..." I trailed off, the thought bringing a smile to my face.
"I'd rather not have the wrath of an alpha, no scratch that, I'd rather not have the wrath of an alpha who also happens to be his mother, on my ass." I gripped into my sheets, hearing and feeling the fabric tear open into small holes.
"Besides, we're not afraid of the guy. He's all talk and no action." I shrugged, kicking off my shoes and throwing my shirt from my body.
- Doesn't make him any less unbearable. - Dato chimed in. "Not wrong about that." I chuckled.
I slid my pants down my legs and made my way to the bathroom. On the way I grabbed a pair of shorts and a tank top, and closed the door behind me. I got rid of my underwear as soon as I was in and started the water. I turned the water as cold as I could get it before stepping inside and I immediately felt my muscles relax completely.
I couldn't stand the hot or warm water, at least not anymore. I used to love warm showers..when I was human that is. But ever since I was bitten, they haven't been the same. And I'm guessing it has to do with the fact that I'm practically a human, not so human, radiator.
I'm hot all the time and the warm showers would only make me sweat. So now I resort to cold showers. And the day I started taking them was probably the most calm and relaxed I had ever felt when showering.
