Afternoon [2:16 pm]
Tuesday

I was so warm, Iris having played a major part in it. I hugged her close to me, a possessive growl rumbling from my chest. I wasn't sure how long we had stayed like this but it must've been a while as the next thing I knew the door to the room was opening.

But I was too caught up in the way that is Iris. She threw her leg over mine, tangling them together as lips pressed against my skin, leaving small sensations to spread through my chest and stomach. "What do you think you're doing?!" Donovan exclaimed, darting over, to presumably snatch me away from his sister.

"Wait Donny, look." David spoke up, pointing his finger at the duo. He had to admit, as soon as he walked into the room he had wanted to yank the stray by the neck and toss her out of the window. But once he turned his attention to Iris, he noticed the way the girl clung to the lycan.

His sister, who hadn't moved a muscle in over 24 hours was not only awake but talking as well. They were only whispers, but it was better than nothing at all.

I pulled her impossibly closer, ignoring the voices by the door. "What are you doing here..?" Iris asked, her nose pressed into my chin. "Full moon, remember. I can't just shift in front of my family." I rolled my eyes. "God, you're such a smartass." She grumbled.

"I could always leave, you know. If my smart ass is too annoying." I teased going to stand from the bed. Of course, I was never actually going to leave, not that my beasts would let me. But she didn't know that, which is exactly why she was quick to grip onto my hoodie.

   "Don't you fucking dare Cameron."

"Oh! You do know my name." I smirked. "Shut up and hold me." She remarked, ducking her head back beneath my chin. "Whatever. You need me just so you know." I scoffed.

"I see you're still just as full of yourself as the last I saw you." She rolled her eyes. "How am I full of myself when I'm telling the truth." I said, turning to look down at her. "Yeah right, I would've been fine." She waved me off.

"You're insufferable. You were literally 'sleeping beauty' just five minutes ago." I shrugged. "If that's your way of flirting, try again. Better yet, stop while you're ahead." She shook her head. "Why the hell would I want to flirt with you. I could have any girl I want." I said, an incredulous look on my face.

"As if. We both know that's never going to happen." She growled, her grip on my hoodie tightening ever so slightly. "Besides, that would imply that you're actually good looking."

"Says you. You look like a corpse; chapped lips, pale skin and all." I scoffed.

"You didn't seem to mind when they were on your neck just moments ago." She smirked proudly. "Because if I didn't, you'd start bitching and complaining. And god knows that I can't stand your whiny little voice."

"Bullshit. My voice, is sexy as hell and you know it. Why else do you start shit with me, you can't get enough of how alluring it is."

   "Whatever sleeping beauty."

   "Fuck you." She said.

"Not even on a good day." I rolled my eyes.

"They do know we're still here, right?" David voiced. "Let's just, leave them be. It's obvious Iris is feeling better." Jade said, watching as her daughter continued to bicker with the lycan. A distant smile on her face before turning to her wife. "They kind of remind me of us. Only, I always won the argument." Jade chuckled, grabbing Mack's hand as she led her out the room.
