2 Days Later
Wednesday [12:29 pm]
I sat at my desk, writing the answers to the last few questions on the worksheet when the lunch bell finally rang. I packed my things away, standing out of my seat, and walked out the classroom.
My morning hadn't started out well at all. I almost woke up late, and I had yet another dream of a certain...wolf.
I avoided looking in the girls direction, her scent being enough to deal with. I couldn't deal with her constantly being in my head, like a constant nagging. So today, I planned to go out for a run, some fresh air would definitely work wonders.
I walked through the hall, stopping at my locker before making my way to the cafeteria. I got my food, sat with my usual friends; Ash, Tc, and Julie. I hadn't seen Lizzy yet, not that I really wanted to. I thought she was chill, but my beasts say otherwise. So for now, I've stuck with just a wave or a smile in the halls.
I kept a small distance, my skin crawling whenever her hands tried to come in contact with me. I would smile awkwardly, the girl was a bit too forward for my liking, having barely known her for a week and she's constantly trying to touch me.
I've gotten pretty good at dodging the girls attempts, pretending to cough or scratch an itch.
With the final bell ringing out, I collected all of my things and exited the building. I texted ma and dad that I'd walk home, needing the time to clear my head. I thought about how long I could confidently go with zero contact from Iris. So far I had lasted almost 3 days.
I wasn't sure how much I could go for, but I'd have to see. The numbing from Monday had intensified, now spreading up my neck and across my back. It was like my body was punishing itself.
I'd grown used to pain, but this wasn't like anything I'd ever felt before. I blinked away my pain filled tears and directed my attention to the path in front of me. I picked up my pace, the quicker I could get home, the sooner I could run. I rushed up my porch and unlocked the front door.
I gave a short greeting to my parents before rushing upstairs. I threw my bag onto my desk chair and grabbed some jogging attire. I ran back downstairs and out the front door. I paid no attention to the voices behind me and raced down the sidewalk.
Long story short, the run had only worsened everything. The minute my mind had gone blank, memories and thoughts of her filled my brain. I couldn't handle it all and I immediately ran back home. I took myself a shower, my entire body covered in sweat.
I went to bed, restless as I tossed and turn in my sheets.
Next Day
Thursday [8:39 am]
Sitting down in my first period and I immediately noticed the sudden flurry of students. Maybe 6 or 7 new kids sat in the once empty desks. They chattered amongst themselves, my eyes meeting Iris's, and like the coward I am, I ducked my head down and to my phone.
I wasn't really sure what was going on, but I did want to know why there were so many new kids in town.
The second period bell rang and the teens stood from their desks, all moving out the door. I stayed behind a bit not wanting to get trampled on. Stepping out into the hall was a nightmare, multiple new scents filled the small space and brutally attacked my nose.

WerewolfIt was meant to be a normal family gathering, though it doesn't go according to plan when a particular wolf shows up to the party. Cameron Blaine is a competitive girl, if you ask me, pairing that with a wolf gene of any kind seems pretty dangerous...
