Lilac's P.O.V
Soft silk brushes against my skin from a breeze. I look down to see I'm wearing a black, spaghetti strap silk dress.
The hairs on my back stand up from the chilling breeze, that's when I realize the dress I'm wearing exposes my back.
But, it's a beautiful, ankle length dress that has lace flowers surrounding the edges with strings that tie in the back to hold it up.
"The dresses get better and better every time, don't they?" Ophelia's soft voice says.
I turn around to see The Moon Goddess in all her powerful glory, her silver hair and eyes brighter than normal.
Considering I haven't seen Ophelia in about eight months, I'm shocked that she's here. Usually when she shows up in my dreams, she has something to tell me.
"Why are you visiting me in my dream again?" I ask as I fiddle with the ring on my finger.
Ophelia motions to my ring. "I have to make this quick because I don't have that much time," She walks closer towards me. "My sons are on their way to basically kidnap you and Landon. You must run," She speaks calmly, despite the worrisome situation.
"What? They found out about Landon's alpha blood?" I ask, frightened.
She nods. "I tried to get them to go a more... friendly direction, but they wouldn't listen. You must run, it will allow me more time to stall them, change their minds."
I walk towards her while still trying to grasping everything that's happening.
Her sons, Erik and Thanatos, are coming here to Texas to take us where exactly?
"Wait! If they do catch us, where will they take us?"
Ophelia puts her hand on my shoulder. "To a château in Nice, France. Now, head northwest and get away from my sons!"
My body jolts forward in bed, my breath coming in short, labored pants, my hands fidgeting with the straps of my shirt.
"Why can't my life stay drama free?" I ask myself.
Landon just proposed to me four days ago, and now we have a bounty over our heads?
Everything doesn't make sense at the moment but I'm willing to believe Ophelia if it means my family is safe.
I gently tap Landon's shoulder. "Wake up! Landon... Bear!"
Like expected, he slowly turns to face me and sends a glare my way.
"Really? Bear?" He asks blandly before pausing. He scans over my face. "What's wrong, Love?"
Mustering up words wasn't easy, especially trying to explain that we have to leave before The Moon Goddess's sons catch us.
Landon puts his hand on my shoulders like Ophelia did. "Calm down. What are you trying to say?"
I sigh. "I had another one of those dreams where The Moon Goddess tells me things. This time, she told me that her sons know of your alpha blood, and they are on their way right now to basically kidnap you."
Shaking his head, Landon caresses my cheek gently, confusion written all over his face.
He probably doesn't believe me, I think with discouragement.
As if reading my mind, Landon says, "The strange part is that I can't sense a lie in our bound."
"She said we have to run. I don't know what to believe but if it means our children will be safe, then I'm willing to take that chance," I yelped.
