Scott had everyone come over after practice like I had asked. We had talked about everything that was going on and what I had been feeling. They all forgave me and told me that they understood. They also said that they didn't hate me and that they'd be there for me whenever I needed to talk or just have someone there for me. Lydia and Malia agreed that we'd hang out atleast once a week so I could get out of the house for a little bit to go shopping or something. We still agreed to have someone with me at all times, which that was practically easy because I'm always with Scott, Brett, or Skylar.

Speaking of Skylar, we made up. She understood about what happened earlier and she tried saying it was her fault because she should've known I wasn't ready but Stiles stepped in and said he pushed for her to come over so it was his. I also apologized to Brett for leaving Gabe with Stiles but he said that he understood and it was alright.

Eventually everyone left because it was late and a school night for them. I still wasn't quite ready for school yet which everyone including the school understood.

"Add's?" Scott called from beside me. We sat on the couch watching tv as we ate Chinese.

"Hmm?" I looked over at him. He paused the TV and turned to look at me.

"I just wanted to tell you that you don't need to worry about us not having a place to stay or anything. The house is paid off and all we'd need to pay for is groceries, electricity, and the TV. I got a job so I'll be working and paying the bills, but also all the money in their accounts were transferred to mine." He explains. I could tell he said 'their' so he wouldn't upset me, but to be honest just thinking about the words mom and dad didn't make me cry. I now know that even though I lost two of the people that were supposed to be there for me the most weren't. They didn't care, they didn't pay attention to us. Yes, they were our parents but no real parents would ever treat their children that way. Ever. I didn't lose anyone because all the people that were there for us through everything didn't die so technically, I had lost nothing. I didn't feel bad anymore for our parents passing but I didn't feel joyed either.

"I knew you'd take care of it Scotty. I wasn't worried. I was thinking about getting a job also-"

"No. I've got it. I don't want you putting all this stress on you, I can do it."

"But I want to. It'll get me out of the house. Plus, what's going to happen when prom comes along? I'm going to need a dress. Prom is in a few weeks Scotty. What about when I need clothes or to buy something when I'm out with Malia and Lydia? I live here too Scott." I said and he sighed.

"I just don't want you putting anymore stress on yourself than you already have."

"Hey, I'm fine now. I've been thinking about it while everyone was here and when they left." I dropped my chop sticks in the takeout dish and looked at Scott. "Scott, I don't feel pain anymore. Now when I think about our parents dying, I feel nothing." I shrugged. "They were never there for us when we needed them the most or the least. Parents are a part of the family and if they treated us like a family they would've been there for us. They would've been there for my dance recitals, for your lacrosse games. They would've taken us out for ice cream because we got an A on our tests or exams. They would've simply told us how beautiful or handsome we looked when we were going to a dance. They would've taken care of us, they would've cooked for us, helped us study for exams and so many others but they didn't. You know who was there for us when all those things happened? Each other. We were there for each other when they weren't, which was all the time. You would always tell me how beautiful I looked, you'd always be at my dance recitals with a bouquet of flowers and congratulate me and tell me that I did amazing even when I messed up. You'd always ask me what I wanted for dinner because I'd say I was hungry. You'd always help me study for tests and exams because you knew this stuff and you always took your time explaining it so I could understand even when you had studying to do yourself. I was always at your lacrosse games and I cooked you food when you said you were hungry. I always told you that you looked handsome whenever you'd go off on a date, but what did mom and dad do? They did nothing. We've always been there for each other Scotty, we're all that matters." I ranted. It was all true though. It was just Scott and I. It has always been just the two of us.

He put his food down, then grabbed mine putting it down on the table and pulled me into a hug. He held me tightly, tighter than he's ever hugged me and probably anyone.

"I love you so much Add's." He whispers and I squeeze him tighter.

"I love you too Scotty."
