Family Secret

Most of last night we stayed in my room watching tv as we both ate this whole thing of brownies. Scott came in about 10 minutes after we did. He came in my room and hung out with Brett and I until he got so tired, he went to his room and went to sleep. Around 4 in the morning we both got tired so I went into Scott's room and grabbed a pair of his sweatpants and handed them to Brett. He let me change first, so I went into the bathroom and changed into my old cheer shorts and a loose crop top. I laid in bed as Brett changed and once he was done he made his way to the other side of my bed.

"If this makes you uncomfortable, I can sleep in the room with your brother." He offered but I declined and told him that it was fine, so he crawled under the covers and we fell asleep not long after that.

It was now the next morning. The sun pierced through the window causing me to flinch as I opened my eyes. I squinted my eyes and looked to see I was cuddled into Brett's bare chest. His muscular arms were wrapped around me tightly so I couldn't get up and go anywhere, so I laid my head back on his chest and listened to his heart beat and his steady breathing. I thought back on last night at the party and I wondered if Skylar and Liam made it out safely.

Brett began to stir around and I kept still. I looked up at his face to see his eyes gently shut while his lips were parted. I smiled and laid my head back to where it was but cuddled further into his chest than before.

"You like to cuddle don't you?" His deep raspy voice fills my ears. My eyes widened.

"Uh, I uh," he chuckled and wrapped his arm tighter around me, pulling me closer to where each part of my body was touching his. It was like we fit perfectly like a puzzle.

"I like to cuddle too." He mumbles. God his morning voice was heavenly. "Cuddle time with Addilyn McCall and Brett Talbot." He jokes around and we both laugh.

"Addie!" Scott yells and I groan.

"Cuddle times over." Brett mumbles.

"Damn it, we'll have to do this again sometime." I said sitting up in my bed.

"Yeah tell me about it. That's the best I've slept in a long time." He says rubbing his face.

"Addie!" Scott tells again.

"Oh my god, leave me alone." I groaned covering my face. My door swung open and Scott walks into my room and over to me. "What do you want?"

"You're in deep shit." Scott says and I furrow my eyebrows.

"Why?" Scott looked at Brett then back at me.

"Can I talk to you? In my room?" He asks and I knew it was serious. I nodded then got out of bed. We walked into his room and he shut the door. "Last night, you were talking to Brett outside. You said something about the family secret and somehow they knew about it and they're threatening the family."

"What the hell are you talking about? All I said was that mom and dad only care about something that I couldn't talk about. I didn't say anything about the family secret." I defended myself.

"Yeah well, now someone knows that I'm a werewolf and you're a witch and moms the Supreme and you could be the next Supreme." Scott says. I sighed and rubbed my face with my hands.

"What do they want?" I questioned looking back up at Scott.

"Money, what else would they want? If they don't get the money then they get you." My eyes widened and fear rushed through my veins.

"What?" Scott nodded.

"We need to get you protection. They will be with you 24/7, everywhere you go."

"I know. Who's gonna watch over me?" I asked warily and he sighed.

"I don't know yet, I'll find people. Just, until then always be with someone. Never go anywhere alone, I don't care where it is just don't be alone. If I have to I'll tell Brett to stay with you all the time." Scott explains but I shook my head.

"What are you supposed to tell him Scott? You can't just do that, he doesn't know about us, he could get hurt. He's got a life of his own to live. A normal one, and I'm not ruining that for someone just because of my own mistake." I frowned. I would never do that to anyone.

"I'll find someone, but for now like I said, don't go anywhere, don't be anywhere by yourself and always have your phone on you okay?"

"Alright." I nodded.

"Alright, now go to whatever you were gonna do. I've got to find people to help." He mumbles and walks away.
