𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐎𝐑 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐆 trip was enough to put Nessa out of commission for a very long time. That trip had absolutely no positive influences on her life as a whole, other than to show her that she would never return to a campsite ever again.

Her anxiety had been reeling ever since they returned. Looking over her shoulder constantly was a thing of the present, instead of the past, and there was one file in her phone that replayed in her head over and over again.

It's not that the file, or the voice on the file, calmed her down in any way. In fact, it made her heart beat faster and her hands grow sweaty. But, it was a sense of serenity for half a second, and she craved that peace. She also knew that she needed to tell someone, and exactly who that someone should be.

Every day this week, she had contemplated on the right time to tell Scott what had really been eating away at her, but she never was able to form the words. She hoped that one day, soon, she would be.

The two of them sat in the library, trying to ignore Jessica and Diego making out with each other on the couch opposite of them. The macking noises coming from the two of them were really distracting Nessa from her task at hand – her Columbia application.

The noises finally stopped, and Nessa tapped her boyfriend with her finger as she gestured over at the couple.

"Look at that." Scott spoke up. "You two can come up for air!"

Diego smirked, raising his middle finger at Scott as he chuckled. Nessa rolled her eyes, as did Jessica once she turned around to face her best friend and her boyfriend.

"That's rich coming from you two." Jessica teased her friend, who just shrugged.

"We are being perfectly casual over here." Nessa remarked, and Jessica just giggled in response, turning her attention back to Diego.

"So, um..." she began, twisting his jacket string between her fingers. "You've never met my dad, have you? Or talked to him?"

"Oh, shit, why?" Diego asked nervously. "Is he after me?"

Nessa scoffed, without looking up from her laptop. "Good luck, soldier."

"No, he just seems to know who you are." Jessica replied.

"Everyone seems to know who I am." Diego said arrogantly. "I'm prominent and noteworthy."

"Give me a break." Scott clapped back at his teammate, who rolled his eyes in response as Nessa giggled next to him.

"Oh, wow!" Jessica teased the boy. "That's so cute, your vocabulary."

Nessa was about to make another distasteful comment when Luke Holliday plopped on the couch between the two couples, his gym bag flopping in his lap as he sighed. The four of them looked up at him, wondering what he was in such a mood for.

"Fucking party's off." he groaned as he threw his arms in frustration.

"What? Why?" Diego asked.

"Beecher's parents found out." Luke explained, annoyed.
