Louis:

It hit you like a bolt of lightning as you stood in the kitchen, pouring yourself a glass of water. Your pill pack sat untouched on the counter where you'd left it the night before—a glaring reminder of your slip-up.

"Shit," you muttered under your breath, staring at the tiny blister pack.

Louis strolled in moments later, barefoot and shirtless, a sleepy smile on his face. "Morning, love. What's got you looking so serious this early?"

You turned to him, biting your lip nervously. "I, uh... I forgot to take my birth control yesterday."

His eyebrows lifted slightly as he leaned against the counter. "Right. And how bad is that? Like, what does that mean?"

"It means I might've... kind of messed up the whole cycle," you admitted, rubbing your temples. "And considering last night..."

Louis' grin widened as he stepped closer, clearly unbothered. "You mean the bit where we couldn't keep our hands off each other?"

"Yes, that bit," you said, shooting him a look. "This isn't funny, Louis."

"I'm not laughing," he said, though his smirk betrayed him. "Okay, so what do we do now? Do you double up or something?"

"What no, i just took it right now. Hope it will work," you explained, the anxiety creeping into your voice.

Louis reached out, placing his hands on your shoulders to ground you. "Alright, listen. First of all, don't stress yourself out over it, yeah? If something happens, we'll deal with it together. No one's running off here."

"But, Louis—"

"No buts," he interrupted gently, tilting your chin up to meet his gaze. "I'm serious, love. I've got you. We've got this. And hey, worst-case scenario? We'd make a pretty decent team as parents, don't you think?"

You let out a nervous laugh, swatting at his chest. "Don't even joke about that right now."

"Not joking," he teased, pulling you into his arms. "But I mean it. You're not in this alone."

His calm, steady reassurance was enough to ease the knot in your stomach. You leaned into him, letting his warmth and confidence soothe your nerves.

"Thanks, Louis," you mumbled against his chest.

"Anytime, love," he said, kissing the top of your head. "Now, how about breakfast? You'll need your energy for round two later."

You groaned, but the smile on your face betrayed you.

Niall:

You sat on the edge of the bed, your fingers fidgeting with the edge of your sleeve. The pill pack sat on the nightstand like a silent accuser, three pills still untouched. Your stomach churned as you tried to find the words to explain.

"Babe, what's wrong?" Niall's voice came from the doorway. He leaned against the frame, a towel slung over his shoulder, his hair damp from the shower. His cheerful expression softened when he saw the worry etched on your face. "You look like you've seen a ghost."

You sighed, motioning for him to come closer. "I... I need to tell you something."

He sat beside you, his hand immediately finding yours. "Alright, love. What is it?"

"I forgot my birth control," you blurted out, your cheeks heating up. "For three days."

Niall blinked, processing your words. "Three days? Is that bad?"
