Love is like finding a parking spot at a mall that you know everyone goes to. Loving Royce is like that because he's all they ever wanted, and all they ever need. Everyone likes THE Royce Edwards. He's got every female to kneel and beg for his attention; every male to be envious and curious on how to be like him. He's like that mall which everyone likes, because it has what everyone wants. The tendency of the mall's parking lot being empty is less than a percent. If I was just another ordinary customer with an ordinary car, I would have to find another mall.

Then there's Eric.

He's like that small town mall that has friendly employees, and everyone likes that small town mall even when it doesn't have what they need because the employees are nice and welcoming. Everyone likes Eric Stalowski not jut because he's incredibly handsome, no, but because he's smart, talented and knows how to befriend everyone he meets. He's not the guy that only populars can approach, he's the kind of guy that even an ordinary girl like me can befriend. That I can love.

Why even let myself be hurt in pushing myself to love Royce when all he did was just push me back? And have other girls push me back further? That also doesn't mean I have to love Eric because he's the total opposite of that jerk.

Love is always a two way street. Either be hurt, or hurt someone.

Or love someone else when you know that someone loves you, even when you have no intention of loving them back.

I guess not all superheroes are happy with their jobs. Just because of their jobs, they couldn't live a normal life: go to school without any bullies provoking them to use their powers, no villains ever trying to hurt their loved ones, and no such jobs like saving the city that never acknowledges their help or only knows them when they need help. But even when they do have their normal lives and living them, will they ever be able to get the girl?

I have been spending the weekend watching some superhero flicks at the living room and munching on some cheetos and chips while doing so. Everyone else were busy: Mom was at work, Megan was having a girl's day out with Nana, Dad was busy cooking and filling up for the head chef at the restaurant because the employee was sick and Royce— seriously, where was he?

Dad did tell me to look for him but I refused to do that. Look for the guy who almost crushed me and my feelings? I did the opposite of that, well kind of, I ate his cheetos and chips for revenge. I think that's the best revenge I could do to him for what he did. Sure, he can accuse me of "Invasion of Junk food privacy" or stuff like that, he knows what he's done and how jerk of a guy he is— or so I think.

"Hey Logan, I'm going to the convenience store after I take a shower. Is there anything you like me to buy?" I said as I turned off the tv. I turned to face my brother who was busy texting his girlfriend and saw him do a nod. That's a yes then, I thought with a shrug.

When I was about to go upstairs, my brother spoke.

"Yo, Mads?" he called. Why is this making me nervous? Oh no, did he witness Eric and I kissing? The thought of the kiss instantly made me blush and my face was hot with embarrassment. I just certainly wish that he didn't see that moment. Or that thing with Royce.

I cleared my throat so that my voice wouldn't shake and that he wouldn't notice. Logan basically knows everything that I was hiding from my sister and Nana, and he is the only one I told the Royce issue too. He would be freaking mad if he knew how much of a jerk Royce was to me, or that Eric kissed me.
