"Please pair me up with this girl. I'm in love with her."

"Hey, my lovely siblings!"
I went downstairs to the kitchen to get some breakfast but to my surprise, everyone looked at me with a mad expression. They were all surrounding the table, arms supporting their weight as their shoulders were hunched forward. Like a group of spies holding a secret meeting like in the movies, or the superheroes looking at a new dilemma, a hologram of a city full of robbers or a villain like Joker attacking a city like Gotham, or okay, enough of these superhero stuff.
"Hey, what's going on?" I asked as I approached them. one of them answered, apparently because they were all busy staring at a stack of pancakes on a plate which was for me, I think.
Megan and Logan, along with Nana and Mom are standing on the left side of the table, Dad and Royce stood across from them. From what happened earlier, I don't like to approach Royce or talk to him so I stood beside Megan.
She glared at me as soon as I stepped beside her.
"What?" I asked.
"Stand with them," She said as she gestured to Dad and Royce with her head.
"What? Why?"
"Just do it, we aren't proportion to each other already."
"We aren't going to be proportionate to each other even when I stand beside them anyway." I reasoned out just to stay away from Royce.
"Maddie, just stand beside Royce!" She hissed and began nudging my arm.
Mom and Nana started to give me some suspicious looks, and I don't like them to think that there's a thing between Royce and I so I just went beside the jerk and stood.
"What's going on here?" I whispered to him. I know I said that I wouldn't talk to him but my family's acting weird, why wouldn't I ask?
He just shrugged. Nice.
"I have no idea, but it could be about something awesome." He answered. Something awesome? My parents are awesome, my siblings are too, that's for sure but planning or talking, or even holding a family meeting for something awesome without telling me is surely not awesome. And Nana? She's the head of awesomeness in our family.
As I opened my mouth to ask why, Megan interrupted with the dilemma.
She looked panicky and began to pace back and forth again as she rubbed her temples. "My gown's too short and Maddie's gown is too long!"
And like in romance comedy movies where the bride's favorite gown is too tight for her, everyone gasped. I just stifled my laughter and pretended to be annoyed.
"It's the dilemma? It's like nothing a seamstress couldn't fix," I commented and folded my arms across my chest.
Megan slammed her hands on the kitchen counter. "You sound like Logan, and it's a brilliant idea, actually, if the seamstress works on a Saturday." She rolled her eyes at me. "Mom, Nana, I thought you got it and won't mix stuff up?" She turned to look at Mom and Nana who both looked embarrassed.
"We both told the saleslady exactly what you said, Megan. We told her that a long gown for Megan and a cocktail gown for Maddie, right Nana?" Mom said and turned to look at Nana.
"It wasn't our fault that that saleslady's quite deaf," Nana remarked and grabbed an apple from the fruit basket.
"It's okay, Nana and Mom. Megan's just over acting," I apologized on Megan's behalf. She's just busy on worrying about the gowns and not thinking about what Mom and Nana must've felt. Mom just nodded and Nana just chomped and ate the apple.
