Maddie Forster is a hopeless romantic, a self-proclaimed love guru who believes that every love story should start happily and end with a happy ending— until she experiences it herself.
She had started her love guru journey way back when she was a little girl, with the help of her Nana who inspired her with the idea of what true love seemed to be. She started the business with pairing up her two teachers until they really felt the spark and got married. Along with other successful matches, Maddie became confident about the good side of love.
After many clients, then comes Eric Stalowski.
A heart broken college boy who had a passion for arts and photography, a warm smile and seductive green eyes.
He asks Maddie to find him someone who has the same interests as him, and the latter, who swore that she would find him his match. Eric had read and signed the contract that Maddie always presented with, so that her matchmaking client is aware of the rule that s/he must not fall in love with the matchmaker, Maddie Forster.
With the contract signed and sealed, Maddie was set to find Eric the woman of his dreams.
As she was busy with her future, she gets entangled with her past once again when Royce Edwards, has decided to come back home.
Royce was a delinquent who had been adopted by the Forsters ever since Maddie was a kid, because his parents were often away from home. Years had passed after he got in touch with his real parents was when he decided to escape from them once again and stay with the Forsters for real.
Maddie and Royce have had their relationship with each other since Maddie's Nana had been entrusted by Royce's parents to take care of him. Their relationship then on grew into friendship, blossoming as they grew older as teenagers.
Love introduced a girl to Royce, as Maddie found her feelings towards Royce was more than just friendship. After a hard first love breakup, Royce had started to change from the good to bad. He once came home drunk one night and kissed Maddie as if he was not himself— an event that made the gap in their relationship.
But Maddie knew that Royce was guilty and wants to make everything the same again, even with the bad memory of their history.
Heartbreak after heartbreak, Royce and Maddie's relationship seemed to change. He kept dating the cheerleader and flirted while he acted jealous, and her client had just confessed to her.
