"Do you believe in miracles?"
"I stopped believing in them after I got sick. All I can do is hope and pray that I will live another day."
"Then I will hope and pray for a miracle to happen to you."

Soobin couldn't stand it.
He couldn't stand it, being here, waiting outside of the operation room, pacing around in circles because there was nothing left to do.
A thousand thoughts were swirling through his head, blurring his vision and making him dizzy.
I need to relax.
But he couldn't.
Not when he didn't know whether or not Taehyun was okay, or if he was even conscious.
Bzzz. Bzzzz. Bzzz.
Soobin's steps came to a screeching halt when he heard his phone ring. He hastily fished it out of his pocket and checked the display to check who was calling.
"Unknown number?"
But something in Soobin's gut told him that... he needs to pick up.
So he did, lifting the mobile device to his ear.
"H-Hello?"
["Soobin, it's me, Jihyo."]
The brown haired male suddenly felt sick to his stomach.
I'm calling his mom... while her son is fighting against a life threatening stroke.
["What's the matter Soobin?"] Jihyo asked.
Was it that easy for her to pick up his unease? Was it that visible how much Soobin was freaking out?
"Jihyo, it's Taehyun."
The young woman on the other side furrowed her brows in worry.
["What happened?"] she asked.
Soobin bit his lip, his grip on the phone tightening.
"He had a stroke a few hours ago."
There was silence on the other side of the phone for a while, but for Soobin, it said enough about the shock this information brought her. Jihyo swallowed hard, unsure if she should now reveal what she knows.
About Taehyun's father.
"Why did you call me?" Soobin decided to ask.
There was no need to beat around the bush.
"I... I got into contact with my ex boyfriend, so... Taehyun's father."
Soobin's posture straightened like a statue, his pupils widening in size.
"Y-You did?"
["Yes... his side of the family has a long history of albinism. But it's not just that. Jaehyun told me that his family also has a history of various cancers. And one of them is extremely rare and dangerous..."]
Soobin, quite genuinely, felt his heart sink down to his stomach. His legs were slowly giving away, and he held onto the wall with his palm to support himself.
