Taehyun laid very still under the PET scan machine, the beams of wavelight flickering in his eyes. 
Yet for the first time in his life, Taehyun didn't feel nervous or unsure laying underneath the scanner, for he knew what the results would be. 
Well, his doctors most certainly didn't, judging from their puzzled and dumbfounded expressions, which had been confused and doubtful at first. 
"And?" Taehyun asked as he slid out of the tube. 
Jungkook turned around from the computer screens to which the PET scans had been transferred on. 
Not a single trace of color could be found there. 
"There's nothing."
"Nothing?" Taehyun repeated, feigning innocence. 
Jungkook shook his head. 
"I asked several other high ranking officers how this can be. All traces of your cancer have disappeared, and no one can explain why. It's like it goes beyond science."
Well... it does. 
Jungkook sighed, but it was a happy one rather than an exasperated one. 
"Well then... Kang Taehyun?"
The ravenette looked up. 
"From today on... you are officially discharged from the hospital."
He gasped. 
"I am?"
"Yes, just remember to be careful as you still have your albinism—"
Jungkook's words were cut off by Taehyun leaping off the stretcher and throwing both arms around him, hugging his doctor of two years.
"Thank you. Thank you thank you thank you!" Taehyun exclaimed. 
Who would not melt at the sight of that?
Jungkook's face softened, and he patted Taehyun's back. 
"Take care of yourself. You're free."

Yujin let go of the tight embrace, smiling brightly at the boy standing before her, tears pooling in her eyes. 
"I'm so thankful that you beat your cancer Taehyun."
Taehyun nodded. 
"So am I. Thank you for everything."
"Anytime."
Yujin turned to Soobin. 
"Thank you for taking care of him all this time. You'll be missed now that your internship is also over."
