"There we go."

Soobin reached down to collect the two bottles of Gatorade from the vending machine, and began making his way back to Taehyun's room.

The latter was craving for an orange Gatorade that night, as Nayeon was planning to drop off some food now that he'd mostly recovered from his surgery, and he wanted something savory to wash down the food with.

And of course, Soobin got it for him, Gatorade was not as unhealthy as a soda was after all.

"Evening Soobin," someone greeted him.

He looked up to see Jungkook walking in his direction, smiling wearily at him.

"Good evening Doc, is everything alright? You look quite tired."

Jungkook sighed.

"I had to operate a lot of surgeries today, especially on younger children."

"Oh. Sounds like you could use a break."

"Yes indeed. How is it going with you and Taehyun?"

"Better. We're getting along."

There was no lie in there. Ever since Soobin gifted Taehyun the Star Wars DVD, they've been talking a lot more.

Less about themselves, but more about the movies, its plots, and the many hidden Easter eggs and messages hidden in there.

It's a start at least.

"That's good to hear."

Soobin poked the inside of his cheek, hesitating whether or not he should ask. Unfortunately for him, people can sometimes read him like an open book.

"Is there something you want to tell me?" Jungkook asked.

Soobin bit his lip slightly.

"Well, I just wanted to ask you if I could take tomorrow off."

The doctor exhaled sharply.

"Soobin—"

"Tomorrow's Sunday, it's a day of rest. I am quite tired myself, and Taehyun seems to be just fine—"

"Choi Soobin," Jungkook snapped at him.

The brunette immediately shut up, red flushing his cheeks when he heard the harsh tone the doctor just spoke in.

"May I remind you what you were assigned with?"

"Constant supervision?"

"Exactly. With all due respect, you are in training, and here on an internship. Moreover, I need you to stay with Taehyun at all costs when you're not grabbing something for him, who knows what could happen to him if you leave him alone?"
