The waves gently splashed against the shore. The sun had risen by now but it was hidden by the gray clouds that hung above the horizon.

Soobin wouldn't have it any other way.

Not when Taehyun was snuggled up against him, laying his head on his chest, a content smile on his face as he listened to the ocean.

"Thank you for taking me," he mumbled.

Soobin lifted his head a bit.

"Hmm?"

"Thank you for taking me here," Taehyun repeated, sitting up to look at him.

"You're welcome."

"How did you know I would love this?"

Soobin raised himself a bit, propping himself with his elbows.

"I remember you telling me you like the ocean. Because you were discovered there. And that you've always wanted to see it. So... I thought it would only be proper for me to fulfil your... wish."

Taehyun's eyes softened, expressing gratitude.

"That's... that's so kind of you Soobin."

Soobin nodded, smiling softly.

"I'm glad you liked it. I did too."

He glanced back at the horizon, unable to find much difference between the greenish gray of the ocean waters and the hazy gray of the sky.

"I just hope it works," he muttered to himself.

Which Taehyun heard.

"What worked?"

But before Soobin could open his mouth and answer, the two of them heard faint sirens in the distance. Alarmed, both of them turned around, eyes widening as three police cars began approaching them.

"Oh no," Soobin whispered, scrambling to his feet.

The tires came to a screeching halt, and within seconds, multiple officers came pouring out of the cars.

"Put your hands up!"

Unsure who he was addressing, both Soobin and Taehyun raised their hands up.

"Not you, him!"

"What the—"

Soobin jolted when an officer grabbed both of his wrists, locking his arms down behind his back, already beginning to put handcuffs on him.

"Is your name Choi Soobin?" another policeman asked.

The brunette nodded.

"Yes."

"Yeocheon JeonNam Hospital discovered in their security footage that you took a patient in critical condition outside of the hospital, an unauthorized act. Therefore, we have no choice but to arrest you and take you into question."
