Recap
Y/n and Miguel got into a one sided argument which led to y/n isolating herself and Miles debating a visit in the near future.

Miles got up from his bed and left his room to get some answers from his mom. By then she was plating dinner.

"Hey mom..." His hands were awkwardly stuffed in his pockets.

"Hm?" She glanced at him as she swayed mayday in her arms.

"Remember.. y/n?"

Rio's eyes lit up "Yes!, I haven't seen her in so long...how's she holding up with....y'know." she bit her bottom lip worried about the girl.

Miles sighed as he slumped himself in a chair "that's the thing, I don't know" He started fidgeting with his fingers as he thought about how he felt when Uncle Aaron passed. It was one of the worst days of his life, and he couldn't image how y/n felt.

Rio glanced at her zoned out son as her brows lowered. "Baby...if it's bothering you so much, go." She turns back to the stove and boops Mayday's nose, stirring what she's cooking in the pot.

Miles shot his eyes up to his mom surprised.
"But what about dinner? And Dad's going to be asking-"

"Go, and bring Mayday"  his mom turned around and bounced the toddler in her arms.

3rd person

8:47pm

For the last couple of hours y/ns been sitting on the HQ building, feeling the chills up her arm as the breeze moved her hair. It was actually quite breathtaking, watching the commute of other spider-folk outside of the building. And having the chance to get away from the fluorescent lights was nice. [Not being blinded every fucking second, especially when I had to leave to restock the fridge since Miguel's always busy]

Cars drove down the highways and subways sped through all the chaos, almost like the New York she knew back home. It oddly gave her a sense of peace. Her legs dangled off the building, and back hunched as she looked down at it all. With a sigh she laid back on the metal roof and closed her eyes.

3rd person, Miguel's office

Miles comes swinging in the dark room with Mayday webbed to his chest. He cuffed his hands to his mouth as he yelled for any sign that someone was home.

Miguel wasn't on his platform surprisingly, but rather in the kitchen with his head in his hands, and the smell of his coffee filling the room. For a few moments Miles stood in the center of the room unsure of what to do until Miguel finally spoke. "Why. Are you here." He puffed, as he held the bridge of his nose. Miles's eyes widened and held his hands up defensively. "I was just here to... And my mom said.. so that's why..." He sighed, and scoped the room for y/n.

"She's on the roof..." Miguel pushed himself off the counter and grabbed his coffee, making his way to the main room. "It's one of those days....I'm the last thing she needs."

Miles had no idea how to reply to that so he decided to leave.

Y/N's POV

The silence was broken when the roof access door creaked.

Sigh

"Didn't I say I wanna be left alone?" I continued to lay on my back looking at the invisible stars, with all the light pollution it's basically pointless. The footsteps from the door began getting closer as a pair of legs sat next to me. "Any interesting sightings?"
I glanced to my right to see Miles squinting his eyes at the sky and Mayday staring at me. I couldn't muster up the energy to move, let alone respond.
