I'm Shane Thomason Smith, I live in an apartment with my boyfriend Jay, and I'm happy. My high school boyfriend Zane left me, saying it was dangerous and he wouldn't allow me to get hurt. He did some shady things, and because of it, he left me heartbroken. But he saved me, and he showed me happiness, and he was my first everything, and I miss him. But I'm happy. I live a quiet life, in my small apartment that I share with my boyfriend of 7 months. My two best friends at my side, Sammy, and Gabe have been together for 4 years now.
Jay may not be Zane, but I love him. As teens in high school, we lost our way and we lost our bond; it was even toxic and abusive. And Zane protected me, saved me, and showed me love. After Zane left me Jay and I rekindled our friendship, and this time he wasn't afraid to be with me. And it took therapy, but we found love and happiness. It wasn't hard to fall back in love with him, even if he hurt me. We were best friends, we both got drunk at a party, we kissed, and he freaked out because his friends saw. They called me names, said I forced myself on him, and I was a laughing stock, a punching bag, anything they needed to release their frustration until Zane stopped them.
I miss Zane. I love Jay, I missed Jay just like I missed Zane.
Jay apologized, came out to his family, and got rejected and kicked out, all so he could show me he loved me. So I gave him another chance, a small chance, and he passed. We are happy, very happy.
I am happy.
