"Why would you help them?" Asked Rebecca quietly as soon as she exited the capsule. She looked angry and confused.
R motioned for her to follow him to an empty space. When they arrived, Rebecca quickly pinned him to the wall with her wings and screamed, "YOU KNOW DAMN WELL THAT WE SHOULD HAVE LET HER DIE AND FINISH THE REST... YOU DISOBEYED FATHER"
R eyes were covered by his dark green hair and his gold eyes flickered underneath. Suddenly, one of them turned lilac purple as he started to laugh. He looked up at her and smirked, before stabbing her chest. He tore out her core and started to juggle it, mocking her, threatening her life. Oil spilled out of Rebecca as she stared at him in shock.
"...how long?" She asked, her eyes widening.
"How long have you escaped?" She whispered.
"It has been 8 years..." He said, closing his eyes.
"AND YOU HAVEN'T TOLD ME?" She screamed.
"Will you ever shut the fuck up Rebecca? What if I had told you? You probably run up to Adam and tell him everything, playing daddy's little girl. It took me 10 years to realize he wasn't my savior, that fucking long. But at least I am no longer clinging to that delusion, unlike you" Screamed R.
"I thought you would trust me a little" She hissed.
"Trust you? You never gave me a reason to..." He said, rolling his eyes.
"Fine, since we are being honest. How about you tell me why exactly you're doing this?" Rebecca started, snatching back her core.
"I want to be on the winning side," He said, shrugging.
But his eyes told another story. The mask he wore fell, revealing untold secrets behind his eyes. Before that, his eyes were void of any emotions when she talked to him. But now, she realized that he concealed them to deceive her and Adam.
"You're lying, I know you are a narcissistic bastard, but...you won't do anything without a real reason. And you know damn well that Adam outnumbers this universe five to 1" She hissed.
"Oh...look at this. This little girl is beginning to ask big questions...you wanna know the truth" He said, his smile spreading across his face.
Rebecca stepped back, startled by the cold look in his eyes. The purple flickered cruelly, and for a moment, she felt a sharp pain in her head. She gasped when she realized where she had seen that eye before.
"The bi-...Uzi. That eye belongs to Uzi. You are like them...aren't you...another hybrid? A chimera..." Rebecca said, revolted by the thought.
"I am...however I am nowhere as powerful" He said, lifting his hand up to show a solver symbol.
"Tell me more than R, who are you? Do I even know you? Or has everything been a lie" Rebecca asked, circling him.
He held up his solver and let a black shadowy substance crawl around them like snakes. It wrapped around him, before completely consuming him. Then like a cocoon, the bundle split revealing a secret. SD-R no longer existed, and what replaced him was a disassembly drone with Gold hair and green and purple eyes.
"Soleil..." Slipped from Rebecca's mouth.
The pain in her head began to tear her apart. She didn't know any Soleil, yet here he was standing in front of her, reminding her of something that never existed.
"It took me 10 years to create SD-R, all so I can tear Adam to pieces...I had to create a new identity to escape Adam's wrath" He whispered.
"Adam had caught me, so he disassembled me and molded me, deleted my memories. However, he did not know I had backed up my memory somewhere else. It took me eight years to rebuild myself, to take my identity back as Soleil" He continued.
"And you know what's funny Rebecca? I wasn't the only one he did this to"
Rebecca fell to the floor, a loud ringing in her ear. Everything she knew could be a lie. A million questions ran through her head and she tried to silence them.
"I don't believe you..." She shouted, trying to silence the doubts floating in her head.
Was her name really Rebecca?
Her screen floated with error messages, and she felt herself overheat.
"Your system is trying to reject the truth and subconsciousness and hold you back from the truth," Soleil said coldly while staring down at her.
"Fight the system Rebecca, maybe then you can learn what kind of monster Adam truly is"
She screamed in agony as memory tore itself back to the surface.
"Rea..."
"Rea..."
"Rea..."
She closed her eyes and saw Uzi's face pop into her mind. She took a deep breath and shut everything down.
"So you choose to reject the truth again...Rea. You desperately want to put Adam on a pedestal in your mind, but you will learn that he's not your savior"
In another room, Uzi took a deep breath, coming back to life.
"I remember everything now" She mumbled to herself.
