As soon as she opened her eyes, she instantly squinted her eyes because of the bright sunlight hitting her face.

She swept her gaze across the room searching for Lucius. When she didn't see him, she let out a sigh. It seemed he had woken up earlier than her. She pouted wondering where he might have gone.

She slowly stood up while clutching the blanket tightly around her chest. A deep sigh escaped her lips with a limping step, she made her way to the bathroom.

She caught sight of herself in the big mirror. Exhaustion etched clearly on her face. She let go of the blanket she was holding, her lips parting slightly as her gaze drifted over the reflection of her entire body. She quickly brushed her hair back over her shoulder revealing more of herself. Her lips parted further.

Her gaze shifted to the reflection of her neck in the mirror. Her breath catching as she took in the sight of the faint violet marks scattered like blooming wildflowers across her skin. They were dark and unmistakable, trailing along the curve of her throat where Lucius's lips had lingered with an unrelenting intensity. Her fingers lightly brushed against one of the marks and a faint warmth crept up her cheeks as she remembers the memory of his touch.

Her eyes moved lower, slowly tracing the marks scattered across her body. Small, faint ones dotted the top of her chest while deeper, more prominent marks adorned the curve of her breasts. She shifted slightly, and the mirror revealed more—on her stomach and along her waist, more of those love bites decorated her skin as if he had claimed every inch of her as his own.

She gulped as her eyes landed on Lucius standing topless with a tray of food in his hands. Her heart skipped at the sight of his well-defined chest but she quickly averted her gaze, her cheeks flushing as she avoided lingering on his exposed figure.

"Don't move too much, amore mio. You're still sore." He set the tray down on the bedside table, his voice calm but laced with gentle concern. His gaze softened as he glanced at her, his bare chest glowing faintly in the morning light. "I made brunch for you. You need to eat and rest today."

Her cheeks flushed deeply.

"I-I'm fine... really. You didn't have to go through all that trouble."

A small smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.

"Trouble? Taking care of you isn't trouble, amore mio. Especially not after last night." His voice dropped slightly, teasing, as his eyes flickered knowingly to her flushed face.

Her breath hitched and she fidgeted unable to meet his eyes. Bakit ba ang bulgar talaga nito?

"L-Lucius! Stop bringing that up!" She glanced away. The memory of his touch making her stomach flutter.
