Chapter 12

After transporting the last of the elves to the Crystal Vale, she wiped the sweat from her forehead,l. She feel exhausted but relieved. She looked up at the sky and noticed that it was almost sunrise. The dark night was slowly giving way to the soft, golden rays of the sun, which began to spread across the horizon.

After the vampires vanished, they rushed back to the base camp and found Varek and the other elves, who were wounded and exhausted. With her remaining magical energy, she focused on healing the fatally injured elves. Being the only healer left, it drained her significantly, and she knew it would take time to recover her strength. No one spoke of the events in the forest, and the weight of exhaustion hung heavily on her. All she could think about was ensuring that both the elves and humans were safe and well.

"You're okay?" Mira asked her.

"Yeah." Mahinang sabi niya.

The elves in the Crystal Vale reported that they had successfully erased the humans' memories of the recent events. Mira also took the responsibility of erasing Lia's memories, ensuring that she, too, would not recall the traumatic occurrences.

Vesto opened the portal. She stepped inside the alternate space. She closed her eyes and when she opened the greenery field welcomes them.

"Lady Elara!" Mabilis na tumakbo si Fara sa kanila.

"Treat Elara first. She exhausted all her magical energy." Vesto commanded them. Tumango naman si Ekeri at dinaluhan siya.

Walang imik na naglakad siya. Nakita niya naman si Liwayway na lumipad papunta sa kanya. She can see the concerned in her face.

"I'm sorry, Liwayway. I made you worried." Mahinang sabi niya dito.

"Elara!" Umiyak ito at umupo sa kanyang balikat. "Don't make me nervous ever again!" Sabi nito habang umiiyak.

"Oo. I'm sorry ha? Ayos naman ako eh." Sabi niya.

Umiling-iling ito habang nakatingin sa kanyang namumutlang mukha.

"How's everything here?" She asked the pixie na hanggang ngayon ay pinapahiran ang luha.

"Everything's fine. It seemed that everything is calm for now." Tumango siya.

Tumatango lamang siya sa sinasabi ni Liwayway. Nakatingin lamang siya sa kawalan habang ginagamot ni Ekeri. Her wounds are still visible. Ekeri are healing them now so she can regain her magical energy faster. The familiar face of a man keep on flashing in her mind.

She's so naive. How could she let him fool her? How could he do that? She can't smell anything dangerous from him. Her senses is one of the best in Elderglen. Her senses don't make mistakes.

But he's a royal.

Draken and Evelina is his Legions. The Legendary Legions of Noctrisrealm. Pinikit niya ng mariin ang mata. When she felt his dark aura in the forest, she already knew but deep inside she wanted to deny it to herself. Or she even wished that Lucius denied it.

"Ekeri." Tawag niya sa babae habang nakatingin pa din sa kisame. "Can you put something on me that I can sleep? It seems that I can't sleep even though I'm exhausted." Mahinang sabi niya.

"Lady Elara..."

Pinikit niya ang mga mata. "Liwayway, I'll talk to you later. I want to rest."

"Sige, Elara. I'm going outside." Naramdaman niya ang pagkawala nito sa kanyang tabi.

"You must be overwhelmed with what happened. I heard from Mira that it was your first time seeing a vampire and be in the battlefield." Sabi ni Ekeri na mukhang may ginagawa. "Sleep now, Elara."
