Pinatong niya sa marmol na mesa ang mga gamit at isa-isa niyang nilabas ito sa maliit na kahon. Binalingan niya si Reina na tahimik na kumakain ng prutas na binigay niya.
"Are you ready to learn how to stitch, Reina?" She asked the little girl softly.
Umangat ang ulo nito at bahagyang ngumiti sa kanya.
"Opo. Sana lamang ay hindi kayo mahirapan sa pagturo saken." Nahihiyang sabi nito at binalik ang tingin sa prutas na kinakain.
Ngumiti naman siya at marahang ginulo ang buhok nito. Mabuti lamang at hindi na umiiwas si Reina.
"It's okay. Everyone makes mistakes and isa pa dahan-dahan ka namang matututo." She picks up the needles and thread. "I'll show you how to do it."
She threaded the needle with ease. Her fingers deftly guiding the thread through the small eye.
"See how I hold the needle steady while I push the thread through?"
Reina leaned in, focusing intently.
"Opo. Susubukan ko rin po!" Reina picked up a needle. She notice how her hands trembling slightly as she attempted to mimic Elara's movements. "It keeps slipping!"
Marahang natawa naman siya.
"Don't worry. It can be tricky at first," Elara reassured her. "Try holding the needle still and guiding the thread through gently." After a few tries, Reina managed to thread the needle. Her face lighting up with accomplishment.
"Great job!" Elara praised, encouraging Reina.
She demonstrated the running stitch. Her needle gliding smoothly in and out of the fabric in a rhythmic motion.
"Notice how I keep the stitches evenly spaced? That's important for a neat finish. You want to go in and out, just like this." She explained to her.
Marahang lumapit naman sa kanya si Reina at mataman na nakatingin sa kanyang ginagawa.
"Sa tingin ko po ay nakuha ko na. Susubukan ko na po gawin." Masayang sabi nito.
Reina started stitching, her movements were shaky, and the stitches came out uneven. She leaned closer to Reina. They chatted as she worked. She's sharing stories of her own early stitching days and the little mistakes that had helped her learn. Laughter filled the air as they compared their stitches. Reina's becoming more confident with each attempt.
"Tingnan niyo, Lady Elara! Mukhang kaya ko na po sundan yung gawa niyo." Reina exclaimed excitedly.
Elara glanced over at Reina, who was focused intently on her stitching. After a moment, she couldn't help but smile at the neat little stitches forming on the fabric.
"Reina, this looks wonderful! You've done such a great job." She praised, her voice warm and encouraging.
Bahagyang namula si Reina dahil sa kanyang sinabi at ngumiti din agad. Marahang natawa naman siya dahil sa naging reaksiyon nito. What and adorable little kid!
"You seem to enjoy the company of a lowborn." A familiar voice said. Inangat niya ang tingin at agad na binaling ang tingin sa direksiyon ng nagsalita.
A familiar figure approached, a woman exuding confidence in a fitted mini dress that accentuated her curves. Her red stilettos clicked against the pavement, commanding attention with each step. Glossy red lipstick framed her smile. Her vibrant red hair shimmered in the sunlight.
"Lady Victoria." She said acknowledging the woman that arrives.
Binalingan niya si Tacia na nakaupo sa gilid ni Reina. Nakayuko na ngayon si Reina at mukhang nahihiya.
