As the barrier shimmered into view, she turned to Lucius, a soft smile gracing her lips. He looked at her. He had no emotion, but his face is soft and tender. The wind playfully tousled her coffee-colored hair. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Lucius gently raise his left hand. He tuck her hair back from her ear as it danced in the breeze.
"Are you sure you don't want to come with me inside the Elderglen?" Tanong niya dito habang mataman na nakatitig sa kaharap.
He slightly shook his head.
"No. I'll be heading in Isla Fuego." Tumikhim ito. "So, we'll see each other after two days."
Marahang tumango siya dito at ngumiti.
"Oo. Sige na. Vladimir is probably waiting. I'll get inside the barrier." Tatalikod na sana siya nang hawakan ni Lucius ang kanyang kamay.
Napatingin siya dito at nagtatanong ang mga matang sinalubong ang tingin ni Lucius. Her eyes is locked on him curiously. May nakalimutan ba itong sabihin?
"You forgot something." He said while looking at her. Kumunot naman ang noo niya dahil sa sinabi nito.
Wala naman siyang nakalimutan dahil wala naman siyang dalang gamit. Maraming gamit pa ang naiwan sa Elderglen at hindi niya kailangan dalhin lahat iyon sa Noctrisrealm dahil bibisita pa rin naman siga sa Elderglen kaya hindi na niya kailangan magdala nang mga damit niya.
"Ha? Wala naman akong nakalimutan." Nagtatakang tanong niya dito.
"You forgot this." He said.
In an instant, his lips brushed against hers, catching her completely off guard. Startled, she froze, her eyes widening in surprise, a mix of disbelief and unexpected thrill coursing through her. Lumayo naman ito sa kanya. He chuckled slightly because of her reaction.
"I will miss you terribly." He said smirking.
"It's just two days, Lucius." Naiiling na sabi niya. "Sige na. Papasok na ako." Sabi niya dito.
Nilingon niya naman si Mira na nasa harapan nila sa loob nang barrier na nakatingin sa kanila. Ngumiti siya dito kaya ngumiti ang kaibigan sa kanya. Bahagyang napako ang tingin nito kay Lucius at naging seryoso ang mukha. Alam niya naman na ayaw pa rin nang kaibigan niya dito at wala pa ring tiwala ito kay Lucius kaya naiintindihan niya ang reaksiyon nang kaibigan.
"Mira's waiting. You should go too." She said softly to him. "I'll see you in two days." She said to him.
"I'll wait until you're inside the barrier." Sabi nito sa kanya.
Tumango naman siya at tumalikod na. Naglakad naman siya malapit sa barrier. She activated her magic and enter slowly inside. She felt her magic surging when she's inside the barrier. Napalingon siya kay Lucius na mataman na nakatitig lamang sa kanya. Ngumiti siya dito ulit.
"Let's go, Elara. You're amang and inang are waiting for you." Sabi ni Mira.
Tumango naman siya sa kaibigan. Nag-umpisa na silang maglakad papasok sa palasyo. She roamed her eyes around Elderglen, taking in the vibrant sights and sounds. A smile spread across her face as she greeted those who waved at her, returning their warmth. Her grin widened even more when a group of children came running toward her, their laughter filling the air as they presented her with a bouquet of flowers, their faces beaming with joy.
"Maligayang pagbabalik, Lady Elara." Sabi nang mga ito sa kanya.
Tumigil naman siya at yumukod. Tinanggap niya ang bigay nitong bulaklak at marahang tinapik ang ibabaw nang ulo nito.
