JAIDEN'S POV
I aggressively ran my hands through my hair, gripping it tightly out of pure frustration and anger. My blood was boiling, and I could feel the tension building up inside me. I kicked the chair hard across the room, making a loud crashing sound that echoed throughout the office.
"Damn it! Why can't I track her location? Where the hell is she?" I shouted angrily, my voice booming with rage. "I've tried everything, but she's completely gone!"
Catherine just sat there on the sofa, crossing her arms and rolling her eyes at me like I was being dramatic or crazy.
"You know what, Kuya? You literally pushed her away and left her because you wanted to save her. You wanted her to be safe and away from danger. So why are you acting like a madman looking for her now? Isn't it enough that she's far away and alive? Isn't that what you wanted from the very beginning?" she said calmly, referring to Angela.
I looked at James, my brother, and my voice suddenly softened, filled with so much pain and longing. My anger vanished and was replaced by a deep, aching emptiness.
"I miss my love so much, James. It hurts like hell. Parang pinapatay ako ng bawat oras na wala siya sa paningin ko," I said weakly as I slumped back down on my chair and buried my face in my hands. I feel so empty and incomplete without her.
"Stress na stress talaga si Attorney," Isaiah, my right-hand man. The court hearing was done earlier, and I won all the cases I handled, but none of that matters to me right now. Wala akong pakialam sa trabaho, sa pera, o sa kung ano man kung wala siya.
"Stress na stress kakahanap kay Ma'am Angela," Oliver replied. He was one of the people I trusted the most when it came to the underground.
"Tara, shot puno na lang tayo boss, para mawala stress sa isip," Cairo suggested with a grin. This guy is a total womanizer, he even tries to hit on Catherine sometimes. Thankfully, my sister is loyal and loves her Alvin so much. Aside from being annoying, Cairo is also a genius hacker who could find anyone, except the woman I wanted. Nakakapagtakang may humaharang sa paghahanap namin.
"Boss, why are we even stressing ourselves looking for Ma'am Angela? Just find a new one. There are tons of beautiful women out there who would die just to be with you. Why suffer?" Damian said casually, not knowing what he was saying.
That was it. My face turned dark and cold instantly. The atmosphere in the room changed. I immediately grabbed my gun, cocked it, and pointed it straight at Damian's head without any hesitation.
"Patay ka talaga Damian! Bitiwan mo yang baril boss!" Oliver shouted, clearly terrified.
"Ako nang bahala sa kape! Kape muna guys! Kape!" Cairo said nervously, trying to diffuse the situation.
"Don't worry, ako na sa tinapay! Kain muna tayo! Gutom lang yan!" James added.
"Kahit ako na sa kabaong! Hahaha!" tumatawang sabi ni Catherine, she really has no fear kahit may baril na nakatutok sa harap.
"B-Boss! Bi-biro lang naman! Joke lang po! Ayoko pang mamatay may nililigawan pa ako!" nauutal at nanginginig na sabi ni Damian, takot na takot na siya, halos lumuhod na sa takot.
"I don't want to hear anything bad about my girl ever again. And I definitely don't want to hear about finding another woman because she is the only woman in my life. No one can compare to her. She is my world, my life, my everything. Wala nang iba at hinding-hindi magkakaroon," I said seriously, my eyes cold and sharp.
"Y-yes Boss! Sorry Boss! Patawad po!" sagot niya agad, nanginginig pa ang boses.
"I want you to find Angela. Search every corner of this country, search the whole world if you have to. Turn every stone upside down. I don't care how much it costs or how long it takes. Just find her. I need to see her, I need to bring her back," I commanded authoritatively.
