Angel of Small Death & The Codeine Scene - Hozier
Riddle's patience was thinning as he waited in the dining room for it to fill up. He knew that most of them wouldn't be here fast, considering how serious some of their injuries were. Maybe Malfoy was moving slowly, Riddle didn't know but the room finally filled up only an hour later.
Travers, Lestrange and Rosier insisted on coming down to the meeting anyway. Emily tried to help Travers down the stairs to the room, but instead he just sent her to change out of her dress, knowing how uncomfortable she would be if she had to sit through what was going to be a long houred meeting in a ballgown.
Laion found herself in Lestrange's bedroom after she was done washing the blood off her hands. She watched the man who slowly gained back his colour and insisted on accompanying him downstairs, threatening to simply shove him down those same stairs if he dared to refuse. He found his life more valuable and his ego too big to be taken down by a flight of stairs, so he had to agree and deal with the damage to his ego caused by her opening the door for him.
Rosier proved himself healthy enough when he managed to talk Angeline's ears off in an argumentative monologue, proving why he should come down to the meeting in a well-structured speech. Angeline made it to the middle of it before agreeing and walking down with him, not before changing out of her gown too. She gently set it in her wardrobe, as she took a liking to the piece of clothing that was more beautiful than anything else in the wardrobe she currently had.
They all sat at the long dinner table now with Riddle at the head of it, as usual. He silently watched all of his followers enter the room and take up their spaces, not uttering a word and leaving them to their own thoughts too.
All of the women were now in their usual clothes, the gowns discarded in their bedrooms or bathrooms, depending on the amount of blood on the fabric.
Liese, sported her usual long-sleeved shirt, anyone was yet to see her in short sleeves. The shirt of hers had specks of blood here and there and a couple of smudges on the edges of her sleeves as she sat, staring down at the wooden surface in front of her.
"Could've at least changed into clean clothes," Abraxas, sitting in front of her remarked, the blond man bored of the silence in the room. As much as he understood the situation, he didn't want to stare at blood the entire time in the room.
"I did, but then it turned out someone had to get rid of the corpses in the dungeons, since you are only capable of standing and watching," she scoffed, rolling her eyes at the man who she has had enough of. The sooner this was over the better was for everyone.
"Enough, guys," Alden, who sat by the side of Malfoy's, sighed. After the exhausting and worrying events of tonight, no one had any leftover strength to lose on listening to the two quarrel.
"What happened tonight shall never happen again." Riddle's voice silenced everyone and even the sounds outside, as the people in the room turned their heads to look at him. He always sat like a king, his back straight and his face not showing a single emotion or thought behind his dark purple eyes. No one knew what he was thinking at any time of the day, his expression always schooled to show absolutely nothing.
"We had guests we weren't expecting, who managed to find their way in and almost fulfil their tasks," Riddle continued. "As per the information that was collected from those who we managed to detain, behind this attack was no one other than Albus Dumbledore. The wizard, whose opinion of himself is rather Merlin-like. He thinks he can play God, as if he had the power given to him by Merlin himself."
Everyone in the room listened, the Death Eaters who already heard speeches like these several times and more. The women, who were listening closely, as their fates depended on the outcome of the conflict between Dumbledore and Riddle.
